I decided that I hadn't been to the purple playground in a while and thought I'd stop by. "So, what have you been up to?" Well, gee... I thought you'd never ask.

In a nutshell...

School... for once, really finding it to be something I CARE about, that's nice. Which, in turn, is helping me get better grades.

Those of the male persuasion... making it a point to not have time for them mostly. I don't know, there just really doesn't seem to be enough incentive there to get hurt multiple times to find that one person for me. I don't know... I just know that thinking about that stuff distracts from other, more important to me, things in life. So.... resisting temptation there. (though I still miss Keith after about 2 months of MAYBE saying 2 words to each other in passing... why, don't really know... but anyway)

Money.... still working. Will be a year NEXT month. I'm like, a grown up or something. Also, trying to start a business. Nothing big at this point, just to make a little extra money.

Sleep.... not a whole lot of it really.

Music.... My mom and I went and saw Godsmack last night. Adema opened, not terrible, better than I expected. My mom came out with a hellacious bruise on her shin, a small bruise on her cheek, and a bump on her head. I came out relatively unscathed. Besides, by the time Godsmack came on, we moved up out off the floor, and around to the stands practically side stage and watched the show from there. Way cooler than on the floor. I'm very sore right now though. haha. And, being as how I was very exhausted before the show, I experienced a new, post-adrenaline exhaustion I had never quite experienced on that level. I must say that I really do like Godsmack and they are really good. The best part was when the lead singer and the drummer did a duet drum thing, both on their own, snazzy drum set. It was really really cool. I was muy muy impressed. And, as if the show wasn't great enough, I found a $5 bill on the ground behind my car. :) BONUS! (That bought my mom and I each a roast beef sandwich and a LARGE water from Arby's by the way.)

Other music news... I found some super cheap Pat Benatar greatest hits CD and it makes my morning shower experience that much more rockin'.

Even further music news.... so Sevendust is going to be here next thursday, and since my mom sneakingly over-reimbursed me for her ticket, I'm TOTALLY gonna go cuz, well, I think Sevendust is just GREAT. My friend Kyle said he was going, so I'm thinking of seeing if he minds if I tag along with he and whoever he's going with... if not, well, I'll go by myself. Because I want to go that much.

My roomates: the baby girl is as cute as ever and super smart.... and LOVES books. And LOOOOOOVES Elmo. I bought her a elmo doll a few weeks ago and she takes it EVERYWHERE SHE GOES! The mommy is well on her way to the end of the 1st trimester. 2 MORE TO GO (obviously, right?!;)) Bono, the cat, is getting more jittery. There is a sad realization arrising in this household that mikea's allergies may be being caused by Bono. It almost seems unfair to get rid of the cat when the cat came first, doesn't it? They are facing the possible dilemma of super-drugged baby or Kitty-adoption. :( So that's the big news with the roomies

Ummmm.... so that's really about it. I have this pile of stuff, pictures basically, lieing on my floor in my room just WAITING for me to mail them to their respective new owners. I have a scanner these days, and great pictures from the summer, but wouldn't ya know it that everytime I try to upload them on here, the thing just freezes on me. I don't get it. oh well.

Ok... I'm extra exhausted now. I'll see you on the flip side.

Hi Mel!

I started school a little while ago and it's awesome. So much better than work. My car has lots of issues. "Jittery" wouldn't be a descriptive enough word ... maybe "vibratish" would be more accurate.

My step-half-sister is due in December ... it'll be interesting for me, since I've never been around for the arrival of a new family member before.

Music: Just Allison back in September in MY HOMETOWN! It was awesome. The gig came complete with deep fried mozza sticks. :D

What kind of scanner do you have, and on what operating system? When your computer freezes like that during the scanning process, it's usually a sign of a lack of system resources.

I've a picture I need to mail a friend, too, thanks for reminding me. :p

Lovely update, m'dear. Hopefully our paths will cross as we work out this whole 'being adult' thing. (I still suck at it, but I don't really mind.)

Hey Mel!

Glad to see you back around these parts again! :)

I'm trying to get back to school.....no money...but Im trying to get back there.

I'm beginning to become miserable at my job so thats the clue to get back to school and study something that excites me.

The scanner is fine, I'm having problems posting the pictures I've saved on my computer up here on smirks. I open the link to upload pictures, right, and I browse and select the picture and all that, but when I hit the button to upload.... it just sits there. I don't get it. It's not like they're that big. Maybe I'm missing something very important. Oh well.

You know that "you spin me right round baby right round like a record baby"... or however it goes. Well, apparently some modern band has covered it and it's on the radio now. The 80's are very much back now. Look out for parachute pants and BIG hair!

That song really doesn't need to be covered. Dead or Alive should drop the last two words from their freakin' name.

What OS? XP? 98SE? ME? 2000?

Can you post them to your website? Maybe try that and then just use the IMG tag to show us here, or better yet, make us go to your site. :)

yeah, I could do that.... but I've just been to lazy (actually, to busy) to do that. Maybe I'll do that now... work out the art of procrastination.... much like I'm doing now. ;)
