Well, since Michelle got a thread going on Synergy, it's time for me to start one here in honour of the birthday girl!!

As I was saying on Synergy, I feel truly blessed to have Paige as a friend and mentor. She's one of the nicest people I know, and really, she embodies all I want to be as a professional and as a person. She has such a big heart and I can only hope that she's gonna have the best birthday ever!!

Since you have given me so much pleasure with your writings in the last few months, I thought I would write a story in your honour.....

here goes......

The Cat sat on the mat
Digger the dog saw the cat
Digger chased the cat
The cat ran
The cat hid in a tree
Digger could not catch the cat
Digger was sad.

Phew.....that took some effort, I tell ya....the re-writes alone took most of the evening.....

I was thinking about taking this to Random. My agent seems to like the idea and he is quite confident that he can get Harvey Weinstein to buy the movie rights (hey, anyone who will let Tarrantino do the screen version of Rum Punch has to be a visionary, right?).....Mike Ovitz thinks he can get Jenifer Lopez to do the voice of the cat, but is a bit concerned about Touchstones desire to use Val Kilmer as the voice of Digger. Me, I just want the cash.....I mean if Tom Wolfe can sell the rights to Bonfire for 750,000 samolians and then sleep nights knowing that fhey cast Bruce Willis in the part of Peter Fallow, I think that I can live with Val Kilmer's voice in the place of my protagonist.

Shit......Paige.....don't abandon the world to the scatchings of hacks like me..
