my review of my boots

i got philly 1 (really camden 1) and boston 2 (really someothertowninmass. 2)

NOW i understand what you european folks were so excited about...dont get me wrong, it was great to hear the euro-boots and listen to the great music and all /images/smile.gif but i really cant describe the feeling of listening to concerts that were so close to my heart, concerts that i went to, yep, thats me screaming and freaking and doin the shimmy...oh and THATS 13 /images/smile.gif. hearing them is like being there all over again. remembering the fun and excitment. remembering the really cool version of wishlist, betterman, BREATH, footsteps, immortality, inmy tree, black,

im sure we all have our favorite boots and i am not gonna try to convince you to get the ones i have (although they are obviously the best /images/tongue.gif) i just wanted to say that this whole idea of releasing boots of each concert is a really nice idea, and who ever thought of it should be given the nobel prize for music/art/whatever /images/smile.gif cause these things have made a lot of people really really really happy /images/smile.gif

oh...and so, because im so freaking happy with these darn things, i just had to share them with my non-pj lovin mr.groovN(who if you will remember wouldnt go to the camden concert with me cause he wanted me to go with another jamhead-of course i picked 13)...i picked breath, immortality and release to play for him, put the headphones on him....and you know what? he like em, he really liked em.....in fact yesterday, we were in his truck and we were so freaking stressed out we couldnt think strait....he looks at me and says, did you bring any of those pearl jam bootlegs with you????? /images/shocked.gif [happy]

philly 1...the band is so together, more so than i remembered...im not sure if it is the quality of the boot or the fact that i am so emotionally attached to this concert or that the band just had a great time with this concert, but, the sound that they produce is better than almost anything that i have heard. it is tight and full of energy...stone and mike (especially mike) are playing better than ever, backed up by jeff who NEVER misses a beat, really, i think he is the backbone of this band /images/smile.gif

remember when that guy gave ed the flyers jersey? before this happened you can hear ed at the end of one of the songs saying, " i gotta have THAT shirt" /images/smile.gif i bet the dude who gave him the shirt will listen to that one over and over /images/smile.gif remember when ed says, "party in stones room tonight" and then stone says "i want her to come" /images/tongue.gif also, remember the save it for later tag on the end of betterman and how bout mikes tribute to ozzy at the end of yello led....and the lyrics of yello led are words i have never heard before...he just kind of throws some extras in there /images/smile.gif

so if ya want me to go on some more, i will, but im sure everyone else will get sick of it /images/tongue.gif

Hi GroovN, don't know if you remember me I'm Babarocks, and we exchanged some thoughts on that 2nd Boston (actually Manassus) show. I'm just wondering what it sounds like in Black when Ed gets really upset, can you hear it? Can you hear him hit the mic? I haven't got my boots yet but this is a moment I'll never forget and I"m wondering what it sounds like on the soundboard version. Please let me know.
