saw lollapalooza on wed

first of all I want to say that "fans" at jones beach have been pissing me off latley.
first they boo neil young, and last night the crowd had no energy at all, even after chris cornell jumped into the stands(more on that later)
I didn't see much of the goings on at the 2nd stage b/c I got there late and I had my son with me.
I did check out some of the tents and stuff

anyways I got there about 6:00(i had to work)
I saw the end of the Queens of the stone age set-they weren't bad but there was hardly anyone in the seats.

got to meet tom morello at 6:30 in the axis of justice tent, that was cool. my 4 year old got to shake his hand, wish I had a camera(damn security checks)

incubus came on next. I don't know much of their music, but they impressed me. they put on a really good show and brendan boyd can really sing.At least the 16 year old girls in the crowd were making some noise. It almost sounded like a rock comcert.

audioslave was up next. chris seems to be having major voice trouble, when he spoke he was so hoarse. It showed a little while he was singing, but he still did the screams, and high stuff(I really hope he is not ruining his voice permantley). anyways this is the second time I have seen them and they sound tighter now then they did in december. After a few songs, chris addressed the crowd, saying I know some of you are stoned, but you all cant be stoned. I have never seen a quiet new york crowd before. that woke the crowd up for a few minuted, but then they were dead again. I few songs later (I fogot during which song) he jumped into the crowd,it looked like security had now idea he was gonna do that it was prett funny. got no rise out of the crowd, except those on the floor.
song wise they played most of the album, the whit stripes cover(it was ok but not great), a funkadellic(sp) cover that was good, I don't know the song though. I am the highway started off with just chris and his acoustic it sounded really cool.

janes addiction closed the show. they were really good too. I couldn't belive how many people left during their set. It was unbeliveable the lack of respect the crowd showed them

Sorry about the fans being so quiet, and them leaving during Jane's, that is just silly to do that!

my son had a really good time. he is only 4 but he is a major audioslave fan. I swear he knows every word to the songs, its so funny.
as soon as they hit the stage he stood on his chair(we were in the front row ouf our section dead center, so he had a great view)and rocked out the entire set.it was great to watch
