I'd like to come up from time to time posting particular news which caught up my attention and reading comments from you people about it...would you hate me????
I will start right now with this crazy one...SPREAD YOUR PEARL JAM SPIRIT!!!! :)
"From 1907 to 1973 the United States, following the nazi eugenetics, authorized convict sterilization for psychiatric patients, mentally disabled, epileptics, convicted for sexual crimes. Actually, they were immigrants, Jews, homeless and black people.
Last week the State of Virginia apologised to the 8.000 "idiots" and "criminals" legally sterilized in the '900, with the permit of the same Supreme Court of the United States which in 1927 promoted the law authorizing the legal sterilization for "people afflicted by an hereditary kind of mental disease". These are the words pronounced by Oliver Wendell Holmes in the name of the majority of the Court: "We have prooved more than once that the public welfare can demand the sacrifice of the best citizens'lives. It would be odd if it didn't demand for minor sacrifices. It is better for the entire world if, instead of waiting to execute depraved children for some kind of crime or let them die for hunger caused by their idiocy, the society can avoid, for those who are not able, to reproduce their species."
