Muppets are the coolest thing in the world. Jim Henson was a huge loss. He was brilliant. Sesame Street is still good, but ya know... there's hardly any cookie monster, grover, honkers, ernie, bert, guy smiley, those cool ass bugs that lived in a plant that ernie like tended, etc. anymore. And you know... Jim Henson would have moved forward, too... He was just so fucking brilliant. Muppets! I generally dont' like PUPPETS, per se, but muppets... when I see them, I don't even think of them as puppets or inanimate pieces of cloth, ya know? They're real! Big Bird is really a big bird that lives on this street called Sesame St! And stuff.

God I love the muppets. But they're seriously lacking in my life. Maybe it's cuz they just aren't around as much anymore. I havent' seen Fraggle Rock, the Muppet Show, muppet flicks, etc. on tv in a long time. I think Sesame Street is the main outlet for muppets, adn they're cute and funny and all, but there's a certian sophisticiation and just... rockingness of like Statler and Waldof, kermit, miss piggy, rizzo the rat, gonzo, fozzie, animal, etc. I need to rent some muppet flicks.

I can't say enuf in praise of muppets. Just know that I love them a real lot. Can you imagine like Pearl Jam playing with Electric Mayhem? That would be ... too cool. Or even Pearl Jam just chilling on teh muppet show. I bet they'd do it, too. Because the muppet show is COOL.

In 94, Sesame Street did have a Pearl Jam type muppet band called "fur jam" for a show. They sang about the letter "E".

my favorite muppets were those old guys that always sat up in the balcony and complained about stuff.

Man, Fraggle Rock was the best thing ever... I loved the giants that lived outside and that big trash heap with the rats.... hehe... man that was awesome... why don't they have quality programming like that anymore?

That reminds me of this thing some people I know made in college. They took this muppet babies cartoon and put their own audio on it. It was completely obscene, but really funny.

Also, this morning, I woke up early at like 5 am and I was watching this show called Freakazoid on Cartoon Network, and they had a random PJ reference. They had a fake letter of someone who supposedly wrote into the show, and it said would they ever have Pearl Jam on the show and Freakazoid said "No, because they would want us to pay them money, but here are some singing interns for you"
Anyway, I love how PJ pops up all over the place.

My favorite muppets are the old timers who complain, too, and Mr. Teeth... that guy's pretty cool... he's in Animal's band.

My favorite Sesame Street character is the Snuffaluffaluffagus.

Fraggle rock was cool, too /images/cool.gif

I saw a cartoon with a Pearl Jam reference once, too. It was on Spaceghost Coast to Coast. I forget who the guest was, but it was some hot chick or something, and Spaceghost and Zorak were trying to impress her, and SG was like "I'm the drummer for Pearl Jam." And the woman ignored him, but then Zorak said the same thing and she was like "oooh... really?"

That show is fucking hilarious, tho. /images/laugh.gif <-- hope that turns out to be an emoticon, but i dont' think it is one really. Oh well.
