Huh? (Save me, Computer Jebus!)

I have some pictures in my email folders that I'm trying to save onto my computer to free up some space. However, when I rightclick and save them to either My Documents or My Pictures, nothing shows up afterward. Either I get a red x, or a webpage will come up with the whole 'page cannot be displayed' crap.
What the dilly-o? My computer was just wiped and windows was reinstalled so I'm wondering if there's something I have to do here. But I've never had this issue before. Whenever I've saved something before on the computer downstairs, there was never a problem.

is there an area on the email that says "download attachments" instead of just the pictures viewable?

thats strange... but you should be able to actually D/L them to those folders.

Hmm. Didn't notice. However, I just decided to fuck it and I bought a HP PSC 1210 (AKA "The Breadbox") and now I have the magical ability to print them out without having lines from a clogged ink nozzle through them and I can simply scan them back onto my computer.
Sounds a little more complicated than necessary, but I don't mind.
