any thoughts? i think it's pretty stupid that we crank out a daily cure all pill in the lab but we keep a plant a class three narcotic.
give me a fucking break man.

you know it's pretty fucking rediculous that my dr.s will throw all kinds of highly potent pain-killers my way without batting an eye. and I've told my dr. repeatedly not to bother since I don't want to take anything addictive and besideds that they make me fucking puke.

there are times tho when the pain is so bad that I can't fall asleep so I'll take like 3 or 4 little hits off my pipe.....this makes me a criminal!?!? who the fuck am I hurting???

well, when my mom was in a lot of pain due to the cancer and all, some of her friends got her high. it was so freaking funny when she told me, like she was the child and i was the adult. it was also a shame that this woman who was dying of cancer had to act like a fucking criminal in order to get some relief!

she said that it helped her to eat, helped the pain to go away and calmed her. christ, with the chemo that people are going thru (and the big fucking joke about chemo, is that when you sign the papers to agree to put that poison into your system, they list the side effects, one of which is cancer....that is so fucked up!) anything that alleviates pain and helps the patient get the proper nutrition is allright in my book.

however, like any drug, its important that its not taken to avoid non-physical *pain*.

i used to get high in college, dont anymore...it started making me paranoid and all the fun wore off :(

well - i've never smoked - won't ever smoke - but who is the government to tell me what i can and can't plant in my basement and use for my own personal enjoyment. next it'll be carrots.

cath, that reason alone is why legalization is necessary....

heroin comes about because they think it can be used for medicinal purposes and look what it does to people - now we have an extensively studied - both formally and informally - substance that is actually beneficial to people and they keep it away from the masses by making it taboo. fuck having to act like a criminal. you're not...no one is. who cares if your short-term memory slips a little bit because you have to blaze up to have an appetite or sleep at night.
