Okay...I pretty much decided that I am not going to post this at synergy because there are way too many people over there being negative "today". :)

Anyway, here's how my day went in Vegas...(I won't start off with any fluff but I did eat breakfast, drop off my rental car, check out of my hotel, check into my buddies house and get to the MGM at 1:15 p.m.)

So I get there at 1:15 and they are just beginning to form the line outside the ball room on the right side of the room. I jump in line and about 15 minutes after that the guys comes over and tells us to start filling up the other turnstiles located all the way across the room. I understand that this is a difficult process for everyone in the 10club so I try not to worry. But then there's those people....you know who you are... sneaking into the room.... sneaking ahead of those that waited long before you... you know who you are. Finally I get the mark on my hands and I go in and get my tickets. They are great tickets in section u16, row V, seats 11 and 12.

Now it is around 3:30 and I decide to head over and have a couple of beers at the bar across from the Rainforest Cafe. I was hoping there would be a large gathering there but I didn't see anyone and it was pretty dead. Anticipation is building and I start thinking and guessing what song would be first... I wasn't even close by the way.

5 p.m. rolls around and we are off to the UFC. My buddy who lives and works in Las Vegas at Cheetah's is good friends with some of the guys that fight in the UFC so we have some pretty good seats. My buddy picks me up at the MGM and we are off to the fights. I explain to him as I give him his ticket that I will be leaving the UFC at 8:15, no doubt about it and that he can come over to the MGM when the main event ends. I will tell you this about the UFC...it's violent and kind of fun.

8:10 rolls around and I look at my buddy, "I can't wait....I will see you over there." I am off... Now the worry begins about the taxi situation... I'm in luck! there is one waiting for me when I get outside. Off to the MGM.... in the doors.....check out where my seats are and go to have a smoke. 3 smokes later and 2 beers I am finally ready to take my seat.

(first few notes of Go.) AND AWAY WE GO!! What a great opener! I love it when they come out and just smack you in the face with rapid punches like Go, Save You, STBC, and Last Exit with a shot in the gut of Even Flow to really finish you off. I Believe in Miracles was a shock to just about everyone but being that it was a dominated 10club show....singing and dancing were seen all over.

I won't go over every song but I just wanted to say thanks to the guys. What a great show! Porch was amazingly loud and had tears coming to my eyes. Green Disease was one of the best versions I have heard. Present Tense....had my buddy who had never seen Pearl Jam jumping out of his shoes. Last Kiss was so much fun watching Ed mess it up and then watching him laugh at us mess it up. Breath..... SOLAT....Fuckin' UP!!! I loved them all and wished it could have lasted longer.

Thanks to the fans that were there as well. The set list was incredible but I doubt I would be feeling this strongly about this show if it weren't for the other fans. Dancing...singing....just having an overall great time. Porch was one of the funnest times of my life.

Thanks to Ann and Nancy Wilson as well. How great to see them there adding so much power to an already great song.

Can't wait for Thursday night in K.C.!!!!

Sounds like a great time. :) I agree about Synergy, all that negative energy over there is NOT making me stronger. :P

well...the poor guy couldnt get a line right to save his life. the crowd wound up singing just about the whole song after he dedided it would be best to give up. he threw his arms up and just let the crowd take it. :)

Priceless. This is why I love the boots so much. Listening to Buffalo through headphones, I caught his funny screw up with Hail Hail that I was completely oblivious to at the show. :)
