Someone made a post at synergy, and I guess someone took your pics and gave it to that Italian web site The Long Road.

Actually, I'm pretty pissed about this.

The girl who runs the site is a member here on the board, but never posts. Which means that most likely she saw the pictures.

She also says Thanx to Jake highway. I assure you that I DID NOT give her permission to take them. Jami and Chris, I am sorry. I'm writing her an email right now.

I also took them off my folder.

I just sent her an email and they better go off

Here's how to block people coming from pearljamonline.it from viewing your stuff:

Create a filed called .htaccess (notice the . dot in the front). In that file put:

SetEnvIfNoCase Referer "^http://www.pearljamonline.it/" BadReferrer
SetEnvIfNoCase Referer "^http://pearljamonline.it/" BadReferrer
order deny,allow
deny from env=BadReferrer

Save that and upload it to your website directory. If your server admins allow .htaccess files this should block anyone coming from the link on that site.

Yeah Jami, I'm really sorry about this.

Before you had said that you didn't want it up, I had emailed TSIS, and told them about it, and then when you said you didn't want them posted, I told them. And they were cool enough to not post them.

That's the problem, we can't stop everyone from lurking and posting elsewhere.

I took the pictures down, so no one else can download them. Pearljamonline was nice enough to quickly take them down

and vale over at Longroad will be taking them down.


What some people don't understand is that some of the stuff on here we want to keep on here, and are special to us. They just come here to check for news/pictures/etc and don't care about reading the posts...

as you can see, there are tons of people who are lurking here everyday so really, they are just sitting there...and posting elsewhere

living (and i mean LIVING) with crohn's has made me a stronger person...it has taught me not to take things for granted...it has taught me to not sweat the small stuff (its all small stuff) cause you never know when you'll end up in the hospital...it has taught me to keep my sense of humor, it comes in handy...

it really sucks that this happened. I mean, yes this is a public forum, but that doesn't mean that the pictures were. Just because they can be copied and moved doesn't mean they should. If you wanted them spread around, then you would have not said "please don't spread them around."

I guess, since it's obvious you can't trust people, next time you want to share pictures with us, you would have to set up a private site to upload them on. Set up a private MSN group or something. Then just have us pm you to get in or whatever.

I just went over to Synergy to browse a little and saw the post...saw what was going on and immediately knew where the link must have come from. I'm sorry for all of the frustration you folks must have felt today.
Don't let it ruin your experience though. I haven't read the story, or seen the pics...I don't have to really, to know that it must have been a wonderful experience for you, and I can also understand why you wouldn't want them splattered all over the internet.
