Hi there all,
I have been skimming some of Smirks' posts from earlier today, and while I seem to have missed whatever bout of "negativity" allegedly went down, I must take partial blame. I came up with the name Syn City, and I notice Smirks has a dislike for the term as it can be perceived as a derogatory nickname for the other BBS. "Syn City" is just something I came up with months before the bannings, but I just kept it to myself. It was never originally intended to be a knock against the other BBS. I originally thought of referring to Synergy as "Syn City" because it was a place where we could get all wild and crazy, and simply have fun and shoot the shit about our beloved band. Admittedly, I chose a very stupid time to reveal this self-perpetuated in-joke. I began using the term "Syn City" at large amongst some of us here in the wake of the bannings. I myself have never personally had a problem with Synergy, although I did (and still do) miss the presence of many of you over there. I continue to post there in addition to checking in here. I apologize to Smirks for being a dumbass and coining the term in the first place, and even more so for being a bigger dumbass by allowing it to be used as a derogatory term for the other BBS.
Sorry Smirks. I feel bad that I may have (directly/indirectly) perpetuated some shit around here.
