Here's my thing. This isn't Sony's board. This is a Pearl Jam Fan Board, it's Smirks board. None of us have any right to think that we should own this one. I hate the fact that there is negativity on a board. It pisses me off that respect gets shallow and there is no leway for Smirks to run his site the way he wants to. Not by Smirks, I don't think that there really is a need for guidelines. We all "know" what he would or wouldn't want posted. So let's give it some thought about where our respect should be placed and quit fucking this up. I don't want to leave another place. I miss the old board as well, and I won't let what happened there happen here

we are allowed to talk about other non-pj realted things. yes. but you should always consider the diversity that exists here...you never know when something you think is simply innocent and twisted will come across as outright disrespectful and unacceptable, not to mention insensitive. Keep in mind that you and I have no idea where someone else is coming from...as to their history...we just don't know, so it makes sense to think things through before we post them. See what I am saying? A computer is a hard forum to relate with one another on...it's hard to get our tones of voice across to each other

You know what? I'm totally unclear on what the big deal is? Today i saw a post on synergy talking about this board, i come and check it out only to realize that it's all the old gang from synergy so i think cool, this is where i belong. Now there's all these posts about negativity and this smirks post...did we know that this was some special "click"...that's what it feels like, i'm sorry if i wasn't "officially" invited, i thought this was just another pj bbs, we're all pj fans right? Then what's the big friggin' deal? I really didn't mean to come off sounding like this, i would like to stay and be a part of the messageboard, just not feel guilty like i'm crashing someone's party.
