especially if you are the newest user of the bunch.
why should I go to your webpage when I get all the services you mentioned here plus more. Not only can I discuss any band here, I can bad mouth anyone I want, post pointless pictures unrelated to music, post mp3s of my own shitty covers, get any music I want with a simple request, and encounter less stupidity than many bbs'
Also, there's nothing creative or revolutionary about your advertisement.

Chill man. How do you think this site started originally? People just showed up? I hope you don't check out the site, you don't seem like the right kind of person for the community anyways.

humph- done. I'm gone. Just to let everyone know, this wasn't a personal attack. There is no reason to get upset. Its just a webpage. Sorry to cause a conflict.

I don't know how this site started originally, but I came to this site because there was an annoying problem with the previous pj site I visited. So unless this place crashes and burns, I won't be going to your site. Also, the fact that you are advertising your site on this one to lure away people is uncool so I probably wouldn't join on that basis alone. Also, I get advertisements in my email, on my web browser, on IM, on everything, so I appreciate that this place is Ad free, but here you are fucking up the flow, also way uncool. You're right, I wouldn't fit into your community because I think your methods of building it suck.

If you would give me a suggestion on how to get the community going instead of making personal attacks it would be much easier and more adult like.

nootch, its just the way you come off. you come on the board, no one knows you from paul. and you are asking people here to go to another board. do the math. nothing against you personally man. just chill a bit. maybe get your feet warm first before you promote a new site. smirksville is our little haven.

I didn't attack your character, I attacked your methods. Suggestions on building a community that mimics this one.. let's see.. how about you don't build a community and just join this one? This is just a suggestion. You have to offer something above and beyond this one if you want people to join your community. Makes sense, doesn't it. Also, advertise on the main pearl jam page where you can reach a bigger audience. Don't advertise here.

Nootch, what's cracking.
First off, the administrator/owner of this board doesn't like it when people just jump onto his board and advertise a website. People have had their posts deleted.
What he likes to see, is you become part of our little community, and get to know some of us. There are many regulars here. All music fans, all pearl jam fans, nice people.
The idea that you sign up just to promote wasn't probably the best thing that you could've done. But you don't know how this site works, to we'll cut you that slack, but now you know. Stick around for awhile, and people will be happy to check out yer site when they know that yer a cool dood.

Thanks for the advice. I'll wait awhile till things cool off, then hopefully be back.

In fact, I think that there is an even better site around the place that does exactly the samething as our Friend Nootch's site.
Seeing as how we are plugging other sites, let me suggest that everyone check out http://www.intune.org/. It's orange and run by someone who has earned our respect over the course of about 2 years.

There are like 12 members...thats it. Only DMB photos right now, but if you want to submit some PJ photos thats cool. In regaurds to hating DMB, thats why I created the site, so people could talk about any band they wanted in an organized fashion. I know there are virtually NO members so the idea of there ever being a reason to go there is remote, but a guy can hope can't he. Thanks for checking it out at least!
