About 10 years ago. I was comatose at the time, so don't remember much. Nothing to worry about, though.

ok i'm no expert, but my daughter had to have an MRI when she fainted a couple of years ago (..she was in the shower and dropped like a stone, was out for maybe 5 mins..)

so the doc ordered an MRI to see if there was any abnormalities to her brain. i got to watch from a little viewing window. it was pretty uneventful...she just hopped up on a table thing and then the table slowly moved into the MRI machine and that thing then went around her and up and down, sort of...

i would imagine if you are fearful of small places and huge x-ray machines, you could be a titch claustrophobic but it went really fast and all you do is lay there.....

by the way, as much as my kid wants to pretend she doesn't have one, she DOES have a brain, i saw it, it's fine...so she needs a new excuse ;)

take good care prizzzz...

MRIs are okay as long as you aren't afraid of confined spaces. If you are...just close your eyes and you'll be fine. They let you listen to any music you want while you're in there (or they did when I had ALL of mine) so take cds. I know they have open MRI centers, but I am not sure where all they are located-you could look into that.

I had to have an MRI when I twisted my knee when I was in the 6th grade. Even thought it was only my knee I had to go all the way into the tube, and I was instructed not to move an inch while I was in there, cause it would mess up the procedure. It was only supposed to be a 45 minute thing, I was in there for almost 2 hours. They kept saying I was moving, but I thougt I was perfectly still.

From what I understand, they make the procedure more open and comfortable now, so Im sure that you have nothing to worry about.

i've had an mri scan before
nothing scary about it at all
i think they injected me with this stuff..
the fluorescent stuff..
and it makes you feel like you have to pee
but other than that
not scary at all :)
or was that a cat scan?!
i think it was mri....
they had to check my brain
actually the only thing that was scary about it is that i was afraid of what they were going to find
but
it was clear :)
