Post Holiday Gifts to Myself (my small self...)

since i got the record player and I ripped through all my Holiday Singles and Vitalogy in NO TIME, I need some more vinyl...

so i trotted off to Easy Street Records and found some gems! I got "Reactionary" by face to face, "Abby Road" by the Beatles, and none other that "Ten" by some dudes from Seattle! :D

i seriously need to get some pearl jam on Vinyl. i just have the Xmas singles...

ive been lazy and there arent many places near me that even sell it. i guess ill have to order it. i want vitalogy badly due to the cover art being HUGE!

yeah, vitalogy is COOL! i picked that up a few months ago when i was dinkin' around a record store...

i got if for a steal too! it was used, but in near mint condition, so i got it for 10 bucks! :D

wow-records in a music store. who knew. there isn't a record store in wva at all. i got lucky and found some 45's once but that's it.

my upstairs neighbor has a record player and she said i could listen to stuff up there whenever i wanted--cool!

a few more i can't think of-they were in my dad's closet just sitting there so i snatched 'em up

it's great to hear records again-i remember them from when i was little!

nice! to both of you! i just picked up two more today at lunch...i got vs. (so now i have ten, vs, vitology, some christmas singles from PJ) and a Stevie Wonder double album of his greatest hits! :D makes me happy!

now i can surprise melissa with some stevie...that is her favorite artist! :D

haha...melanie, you HAVE been out of the loop! :P did you read my "if i can reflect" post? i spoke of her in there...she is my best friend, now my sweetheart! ;)

the sad part is she is moving to NY next monday... :( not a permanent move (hopefully) but a long time anyway...she is a theater actress hoping to catch a break in the big city... :cry: we are gonna stay together, but it will be tough...

At least she's staying in the same bloody country!! I just finished a five month stint with the lad over there with you guys & my all the way back here.. That wasn't much fun..

It seems tough but the time does fly by, she'll be back before you know it..

Visiting in the same country is far easier that half way round the world..

I thought it was going to be horrible & fairly unbearable, but it really wasn't that bad, we kept in contact regularly, emails & phone & it was all good.. And now he's back it's like he never left.. It's hard but you deal with it..

yeah, i expect to talk with her everyday. my dad got us both phone cards and will add money to both as we need it...so that will help with the ol phone bill! :)

you're right, 3000 miles in the same country is NOTHING compared to 1/2 way across the world...

Your Dad rocks, that's certainly going to help loads with the bill.. I know I racked up a stupidly big bill talking to him, although it's was cheaper for me to ring him rather than the other way around..
I remember him telling me about his buddy Mikey, who he was over there with, ringing a couple of his friends back here in Oz for like 10 minutes & it ended up costing him $US99 which is $AUS174.95..
And emails are always good & WAY cheaper!!

You guys will be fine.. If you're both willing to make it work it will..

yeah, we are both willing to make it work! :D although i had a dream last night she ended it with me before she left... :( that won't happen in real life though! ;)

yeah, i have free long distance shaley, but if i use up my minutes, i have to pay for the air time. i have unlimited nights and weekends, but if i talk to her during the day, i can do it for free! :) it sucks cause my nights start late at 10pm or some shit! what a crock! haha...

really? my nights start at 8pm (verizon)....i spend most of the weekend days on the phone to my family back east.
