Aww come on...... where is Dominick The Donkey on here!!?!? Or is that song just a Jersey thing? :) Hee Haw Hee Haw
I'm a traditional Christmas song gal and I must say that Silent Night and O Holy Night are my favorites.
I have to listen to 8 hours straight of Christmas music 40 hours a week and it drives me nuts. We cant turn the soundtrack off in the store so I hear about 4 different versions of Silver Bells, and I'll Be Home For Christmas each night. Come Christmas Day I might kill the stereo if I hear another song. Sorry to be so pesimistic. lol
For funny Christmas songs, I must say that The Italian 12 Days Of Christmas is my absolute favorite. :) Oh yeah, and Bob and Doug McKenzie's 12 Days of Christmas ain't bad either!

"O Holy Night" would be upthere at the top if it weren't for the fact that for like the last 3 Christmas' my son has gone around singing that in his Cartman voice

like the last time that my kids spent time with their Dad and he and his roomate decorated the tree with beer cans...how very Canadian of them. :cross:
that was the same year that he(butthead) told his Mom that he wanted a rubbertree for his apartment for Christmas. after hitting every fricken store on Van Island we couldn't find a damn rubbertree plant. so, we finally found this other large-leafed plant and then we headed over to the rubber rainbow and bought a bunch of brightly colored condoms and taped them all over the plant. (the twisted thoughts that spin around my head) it was a huge hit at the big family Christmas gathering :cheek:

i really like the venue, and i have a feeling it's one i'd really regret missing if i don't go.
the venue: http://www.orsymphony.org/about/theaterinfo/schnitzintro.html
that is a fine venue. It probably has a fantastic ceiling. Sit in your seat and lean back and stare at the ceiling when you get there. Those places always have really incredible ceilings.

the ceiling is really great. so are the light fixtures - absolutely beatiful old iron and glass. i love old buildings. it's one of those no bad seat in the house kind of places.

yeah, his stuff gets played all over the place...he was on our 'competitor' 99.9 KISW for a long time, but they didn't want to pay his co-hosts, so he came here...
now WE have him! :D i think he is syndicated in vegas and alaska right now...not sure where he was syndicated when he was with KISW...
but he is GREAT! i can't believe how many CD's he has out...

speaking of christmas songs.....3 years ago, we were doing the christmas thing with opening presents ect (we being me, my sister, her boyfriend, and my neice- who was 9 months old). anyway, my sister's boyfriend had gotten the south park christmas cd as a joke gift and decided to play it....after awhile, we didnt even notice it was still playing....so, when it came time for kyndal to open her presents, we got out the video camera (it was, after all, her first christmas)......needless to say, kyndal's first christmas will forever have that cd as the background music...

go to www.wmmr.com
click on downloads on the right
right click on the first icon, alan mann's christmas on the block.
download and enjoy
now, THAT is a great christmas song. its about this family from northeast philly, i think, anywho, the family members were blind. but they wanted to make their neighbors happy, so they went hog wild decorating their house with lots of pretty lights and decorations. that is what inspired this song.
:)
and, saney, that is so funny! just wait till she shows that tape to her children ;) :O
