i've used the hand held ones and for some reason they make my back wicked itchy.... i say go for the full body one.

depends on if you have a partner. if so, hand held is much more effective, but beware of sly partners who may want to use the massager for their own benefits. otherwise i guess i'd go with a sit on massage, but they just aren't as powerful. :)
