Lately I've been diggin' hearing Ed in his early days with Bad Radio... wishy turned me onto a song I really like- "Believe You Me"- just wanted to share it with all of you who might not have heard it yet.
Any other BR songs I should know about? I've got "What" (LOVE it), "Answer", a crappy version of "Betterman" and... I forget the other one.
Just doing my duty of spreading the Jam this morning!

i just downloaded some bad radio songs from napster a couple days ago. i, too, am quite fond of believe you me. some of the others
i know of are crossroads, i'm alive, just a book, and what the funk (or maybe what the fuck? i'm not sure).

quin! Thank you! I had never even heard of those yet... looks like I have some more downloading to do!
What do you think of Ed's voice back then? It's somehow different, don't you think? Maybe just younger? Or is it the difference in the music he is singing to? I can't decide.

i'm not really sure. i think a lot of the difference in his voice stems from the difference in the music. but i also think his voice has
matured. it's stronger and clearer now than it was back then.

yeah... it doesn't seem quite as low as it does now, but again that could just be the music he is singing to.... and I have only heard a handful of BR songs. Guess I should listen to more before I try to figure this one out. :)

is so cool. but its really hard to get thrir stuff. and a lot of the songs you can get off napster are badly labaled.
so just for u 13, heres a rundown of the songs.
1. What
2. answer
3. Believe you me
4. Homeless (sometimes labeled "i just wanted you to know")
5. Just a book (there is not a decent recording of this song anywhere :)
6. I'm Alive (not the same as "alive" and sometimes wrongly labeled "hows that"
7. Crossroads
8. What the funk (aka "what the fuck is up)- not to be confused with "what"
9. Betterman (there is only one version i know of. its not actually live, ed just put a live audience under the studio recording, who knows why)
10. Homelss-acoustic (mislabeled "i just wanted you to know) contains the lyric change "i'll fuckin hurt you don't you know" which is different from the studio version.
those are the only bad radio songs i know of that have ed singing on them, but there were three incarnations of the band so who knows.

its nice to see i'm finally not the only person into bad radio. everytime i used to post about them, everybody went on about how much they sucked.
its nice to know i'm in good company.

DId you say a CRAPPY version of Betterman?!
Don't say it in my presence again.
I LOVE that version of Betterman!!!
Hmmm...I downloaded a Bad Radio song a couple weeks ago and I liked it and I forget what happened to it...oh yeah it was called Homeless. I think I've heard Beleiev You me, but awhile ago...there's an AWESOME Bad Radio site called Crossroads, but I havent been there for a loooooong time, but there's some Bad Radiosongs there for downloading.
But personally, I like Pearl Jam better, no surprise there :)
