my music class with grade 7's :)

it was fun!
and they thought i was cool
hooray :)

it was scary walking in that place at first though
cause i had memories of being younger and kids calling me names and stuff
but then i got in the class
and they had just watched my video and they all asked cool questions and they were great kids :)
really interested in music
And they were really nice and polite kids as well
and i told them about the "biz" and all the crap and the good stuff that goes along with being a working musician and what to watch out for
basically just my take on it
(the day before they had talked to a sony rep.)
(so i was sort of the opposite end of the spectrum) LOL
the teachers sort of goal is to sort of let kids know the reality and what's packaged etc etc etc
(a REALLY cool lady is that teacher ;) )
and getting different perspective and what not
and then saying what options there are...
what the reality of it is...
saying that if you want to go in to anything there are different aspects of music other than just the music you can work in etc etc
so adrian and i chatted up the class and i got to play a song and stuff hooray!
i felt like i did something good today...
woo hoo!

thats cool :) i actually like being a sub cause i can joke around with them and be silly and they actually listen to what i say :P

on monday, i was the wood shop teacher (when they said technology teacher, of course i thought computers!) we didnt use power tools (much to the kids dismay) the kids had to read these packets and answer these questions.

the best was when kids in each class asked, "Do we have to answer these questions in complete sentences?" and i looked at them and said, "silly...you should never ask a teacher that question.....because i now have to say, OF COURSE you MUST answer each question with a complete sentence :P " heehe

anywho...im glad you had fun and it sounds like the kids learned a lot also...and of course you were super cool out of this world cool cause you had a video, too :cool:

and beta....you would rock as a teacher :cheer:

That they knew of PJ is most impressive. Good on the teacher to bring in people to talk about what's real and what are rumours and misconceptions in regards to the industry.
