title want her back author zds date 1/20/01
you stole my love, my future life
stole my dreams and future wife
and i want it back
yeah, yeah i want it back.
i stopped thinking on the day she left
to be with her in time
i stopped dreaming on the night you met
that someday she'd be mine
but i can't wait around much longer
i need my poor brain back
and i can't sit pretending to be stronger
than pseudonyms named "sad zach" -
you stole my love, my future life
stole my dreams and future wife
and i want it back
yeah, yeah i want it back.
she means more to me than ever to you
soulmate in heaven, she wouldn't argue
because some combine great, others merely fall
and just because you've won the battle doesn't mean you've built a wall
you stole my dreams of the perfect wife
and i want them back.

I stopped dreaming on the night you met. A depressing yet incredible line.

thanks for sharing..i love reading words that inspire me to put pen to paper. it's amazing what you can think of whilst in the shower..
'The sun spawned a frown..and the sky grew old, cracked like an old china cup.
The shadows from the tree on the ground, grew legs and ran away. All because of what happened yesterday.' me.

a dollar to the first person who can name the artist, song title, album, and year this line (the subject) is taken from...
(...but in actuality, i'm just shamelessly bumping my own post for my own gain... i'm so mean...)
Just got out of my own blissful, hot, steamy, cleansing water blessing...
Zach...today I dedicate "I'm Open" to you...
(& I gladly bump this in your honour)
*All is Love, Love is All*
Another shameless boost...

well, i'd gladly send you a dollar.. you certainly earned it.. but since you declined, i guess the dollar goes to me.
i didn't figure it to be a hard question... it was the song playing at the time, and i've always loved that line... costello's a great songwriter..
and also, thanks for the "i'm open" dedication... it's certainly applied these past few days..
