He now lives 3 hours away where he goes to school. There he met "W". "W" lives at his girlfriends("C") house because he was kicked out of his house. My friend, "J", stays with "W" at "C's" house sometimes. That's where he met "L", "C's" 12(now 13) year old sister.

I'm currently seeing, dating, being with an 18 year old female. I am 21. I am in love with her, she is in love with me. Does this fall under the same thing? To some it may, but to me it doesn't. I personally thing love has no age limits, predijuces, or anything. If they both say they're in love with each other than that is a beautiful thing. It is todays media and society that has given us these rules that really shouldn't exist. Lets say they were each 10 years older, she 23 him 31, would you be thinking or saying the same thing? Probably not.

With your example, they are older, adults, and mature enough to handle this. When you are older, age doesn't make such a difference anymore, but when you are a child, you are still growing, mentally. This girl is only 13 years old and is still growing up, she hasn't had enough time to find her identity or mature. While he, on the other hand, has already been through adolescence and is a young adult. They are in completely different stages in life...

I agree with Smirks. There is nothing wrong with an 18 year old and a 21 year old. Or a 23 year old with a 31 year old.

But it's different when one is 21 and the other is 12 or 13.

And what is socially acceptable? 21 & 14? 21 & 15? 21 & 16?

I even think that there's a lot of difference between a 21 and a 16 year old compared to 21 & 13.
