I was remembering back in 92 (I think) an interview with Eddie, were he was talking about how he liked to experience various types of people and what they had to say (and teach him). He had a phone number that he actually gave out. Of course he always kept the ringer off at home, but whenever he felt like talking to one of his fans, all he had to do was pick up the phone! I thought that was so awesome of him to do, and was wondering if anyone knows if he still has that number?

/images/blush.gif what kinds of things would you say to Eddie over the phone?

That was then, this is now... I highly doubt Ed was able to keep that numbah... but I'll dream for a minute and say, if I did somehow manage to dial a numbah and Edwardo answered the phone... I would ask him to come on up to Bellingham and I'd bake him some chocolate chip cookies and we could shoot the shit over cookies and milk. And he would do it too, cuz my chocolate chip cookies rock.

could you imagine??!! Talking to Ed over the best cookies in town. That would be incredible, I would love just one chance to pick his brain. He is so intelligent, it would be amazing to just hear him talk about.....well, anything. Politics, religion, the world, people, whatever, you know!

with cookies and milk, could you send him down to my place, I just happen to have a great collection of nice red wine, a huge backyard with massive trees to sit under, and some great homegrown goodies? I could sit out there and talk for hours hours hours.

I've read posts about "If you ever met Ed, what would you ask him" and everyone alwys replies that they'd be too busy changing their shorts to talk.....well, when I saw PJ in '96 at Randalls Island in NYC the park service SHUT OFF THE FUCKING POWER in the middle of Long Road. I've always wanted to know why...hey Sandi, I'll even bring the Toll House Morsels.

that was from rockline, wasn't it? i remember that... remember calling the number. i taped all the different answering machine messages i got. i still have that tape somewhere with all my other bootlegs... i'm sure it still has the number on it, although i know the number is now disconnected. eddie had done it to piss off his neighbor who constantly bitched about him playing music... so when he was ready to move out he gave out that number, spent like two days on the phone and then left the ringer on high to piss the bitch off. that's eddie for you =)
