Being the red blooded Australian male that I am, I have been consumed for the past couple of weeks with World Cup Fever. There's nothing like the world cup and it is the best representation of the game of soccer.

Many of you will no doubt have heard of the English Captain David Beckham. He is the one who is married to Victoria 'Posh Spice' Beckham (No one can remember what here maiden name was). Aside from his rock star image and nauseatingly annoying wife, he is one of the best mid fielders to have played the game. Part of his success is his freakish ability to cause a ball to bend and move in the air after he has kicked it. It makes him a deadly set piece instigator.

So....i went to the movies last night and saw Bend it Like Beckham expecting one thing and getting something totally different. It is an excellent movie. A very funny take on an old story I guess, but made more poigniant by the cultural context in which the story is set. Many of the cast members were also in UK sitcoms like 'Goodness Gracious Me' and 'The Khumars at Number 4' which is still in syndication here in Aus and througout Europe. Those TV shows are renowned for their biting satirical wit and their willingness to attack certain 'sacred cows' (pun most definately intended).

Check it out. The IMDb tells me that it is still showing in the US.

ANYONE can bend a volleyball....it's like bowling in backyard cricket with a tennis ball...you get lots more movement coz the ball is lighter....

Much harder to do it with a soccer ball which is heavier....and much harder to do it with your foot.....especialy seeing as how that's where David Beckham's brains are....

I watched most of England's world cup games, amazes me how he can make that ball land exactly where it wants it...never seen anything like it before.

Did Man U sign him when he was like 14?

...through the youth system, so he left school at the minimum age and went to play for Manchester United. All he has ever done in his life is play football.

He's not exactly the brightest bulb in the box, but he can bend 'em.

Man U re-signed him last year and he was - very briefly - the highest paid footballer in history at somehting like USD30mm per year. Zinidan Zidane, the captain of the French national team, was then signed by Real Madrid for about USD50mm per year.

Zidane is now the higest paid athlete in History...or until some other footballer gets signed for a new record ammount.

The Real David Beckham story on pay like 3 times now.. They're both as dumb as posts it's amazing.. I truely can not get over just how dumb they are.. I've had to watch it 3 times just to make myself believe it's true..

It really is funny....this will sound like a really horrible thing to say but here it goes. As a young girl Victoria Beckham probably dreamed that she would one day marry a footballer who would take her away from her boring middle class life. She got lucky in her own right and managed (certainly not based on talent) to get signed into an All Girl Group. She made plenty of money and preached the idea of 'Girl Power' to her hoardes of teenage fans and then went and married a footballer!!!

She had ample opportunity to drag herself out of the cliche, yet seemed programmed to fall into it....

...shudder.......

i'm not declaring any kind of lasting talent here.
i've not played vb since i was 19.... my college coach kind of killed my passion for the sport. he was such a dick.

That's another bad thing about Tofu....it kinda makes you constipated....when an ex of mine came to Tokyo she ate lots of tofu as she is a Vegan....made anal sex a little messy....but that's another story....

....really isn't all that it's cracked up to be in my opinion.....I think the thrill for guys is in the taboo....once you give it a shot, you find it's just icky....especilly the way she wanted it done....

....to truely give it a proper nudge, you have to fuck about with things like enemas before hand and it is rather difficult to work that sort of thing into your foreplay without gettinng into some kinky areas that I wouldn't want to think about even with my liberated sexual values....

I could bend a soccer ball like a fucker as well. Through my junior and senior years in high school I scored 28 goals, and had almost 30 assists. My team would've been damn good, but we didn't really have a coach that really used our talents. I made first team all northern 2 years in a row, then...nothing. I talked to the potsdam coach, and he had me practice with the team, but they were fucks.

anyway, during my last soccer game, I took a direct kick and kicked it with the outside of my foot. (which was my favorite) I blasted it by the goalie from almost half field. It was pretty sweet.



as for Anal sex....never tried it actually. I slipped once, but that ended quickly. /images/laugh.gif

An interesting turn of events, to say the least......

My previous g/f liked it as well....loved it as a matter of fact....especially if there was some vibrator action happening from the front at the same time.....that wasn't SO bad for me...but it was all still very messy....

Please amplify your response, Ms H....we are all friends here after all....watch out for the UTI's...they can become a little more frequent with this sort of behaviour....
