i had the unbelievable luck to talk to jeff tonight (for just a few minutes, but hey...). he is so nice and OH MY GOD....he is so HOT. well, i already knew this...but i was reminded of the fact once again.

he was the guest bass player for david garza at the showbox tonight. great show!! he was hanging around afterwards and i got up the nerve to say hi. i dont get it....with mike and ed...no big deal talking to them....but jeff...wow...

anyway. that was cool. stone was there also. i didnt talk to him (too worried about saying hi to jeff). my friends talked to him and said he was nice. and for all the guys here.....possible style watch....stone was carrying what can only be described as "a man purse".

uh...som many questions... i told him the show was great (so great!) and i asked if he was planning on doing any new 3 fish albums (doubtfull any time soon). i told him i really liked 3 fish and also "well, everything you do"(im a dork). then stone came up and was hugging him and rubbing him from behind (very funny) and told him he felt like an ass because david (the lead singer) made them look bad by thanking brett (soundboard guy) and he doesn't think they ever had thanked him during a show. it was funny.

his arms were beautiful. i shook his hand and held it while i talked to him (again..a dork am i). when he was playing the stand up bass, you could really see how nice his thighs are....i was standing right in front of him...hopefully the pictures come out!

he was wearing a dark blue button up short sleave shirt, black shorts and a hat...the black one with the brim all the way around. no pj socks. but one of the amps said "pearl jam" and the little plugin thing on his speaker had a piece of red tape with "pj" written on it. jill got a pick! (it said "jeff").

he sounded great and smiled a lot. the music was kind of um...hard to describe. rock/funk/blues/jammy.

sorry...i didnt tell him hi for you...had hard enough time getting past the drool to say hi for myself.

um...i dont know how many people were there...not many for a showbox show. they only had one bar open, so half of the place was closed off. definately room to move.

one set of pictures got developed today(not the ones i took). the person who took them was quite drunk, so they arent great. i guess she was trying to hide or something when she took one (like i said, she was drunk) and all you can see are mine and jill's heads with jeff standing in front of us...we have identical glazed over looks...lol.

it is cool to see them hanging out like that. i was standing right beside/slightly behind stone at the bar and the bartender spilled his red wine when he handed it to him. he jumped back and ran right into me. then he was trying to balance 4 drinks as he walked...i laughed at him and said "hey, you sure you can handle all of those?!?"....lol...only in seattle.

hey shaley! who you calling drunk! ok so maybe i was, but the picture seemed cool at the time. i was trying to get a pic of you, jill and jeff together...didn't work out the way i planned however.

in my conversation with stone i found out...he's not singing on the new album... he did however write a few songs. he said it's possible it will be out by the end of the year and that he's really excited about it. he was very nice (to my surprise) he was joking with neenerbean about the stoney g fan club asking her if he authorized it or the web site...she told him it was unauthorized. he said he didn't get online much but that he would check it out. he posed for a picture, hung out with us for almost 10 minutes, talking about work, music, the show he then went over to talk to jeff, that's when he interrupted shaley's converstation. (sorry shaley). it was a very cool night indeed.

i think the man purse comment has to be one of the best things i've said in a loooooong time. "he's (stone) right over there...he's wearing a white t-shirt, baseball hat, jeans and he's carrying a man purse!" lol!

(fyi...jeff had on gray pants...no shorts.)

Add to that how happy Ed looked at the RnRHOF and how good Mike's reported to look and we have 4/5ths of a happy camper band! And you know what happy camper bands do? jeff didnt open...he played WITH david garza....who, by the way, is SO AMAZING!!! what a great show! at the end, everyone was moaning that 2 (or was it 3) encore songs wasn't enough. so he (david) said "well, i'll tell you what. if that hot dog vendor is still outside and someone will buy me a tofu dog--because i have been eating them all day- i will play for you outside". so after the jeff/stone thing, we head out to leave, and there he is...still standing on the sidewalk on 1st avenue in downtown seattle, right next to the hotdog cart, playing his acoustic guitar and taking requests for songs....so cool.
