that simon guy had to have been the rudest, most arrogant person I've seen in a long time..even by british standards he was rude ;)
and hypocritical too...the one girl didn't make the cut to him because she didn't look the part...but then, another girl, whom was even larger, made the cut without hesitation...I doubt it's because he changed his mind about looks mattering
:P
funny show though...there was some surprisingly great talent too
RIP Layne-the pain is finally gone

I watched most of it, and I thought it was fucking funny as hell.
What I think is odd, is not that the guy was rude, but how the people actually thought they were that good. I mean, I think I would be that rude if I had to sit there and waste my time on people who can't even sing in the shower.
The lines were obnoxious, and the amount of people that the judges had to see was fucking crazy.
And about the larger girls, both of them made it. He learned his lesson on the first girl when the judges wanted her but he didn't. I think he didn't hesitate because he knew the girl was good, regardless of size.

I thought the girl towards the end that sang Lady marmalade in that operatic sort of voice was hilarious...
I think she was the one that went along with this conversation:
Simon: Did you take singing lessons?
Girl: A few..three or four..
Simon: Do you have a lawyer?
Girl: No
Simon: Well you should get one and sue your voice teacher.
well, it went something like that. It was horrendous, yet hilarious.
but in the beginning of the show i found it hard to watch him be sooo mean.
at least paula abdul stood up to him after a while. I was upset that she was letting him be quite so rude.
some of the boy singers were hilarious.
and what about the female impersonator from miami (where else..!!)
named "Amnesia...don't forget it...."
she was GREAT :D

I was wondering what the guy was thinking when he started singing "American Pie"....
is that really a song that you would want to sing? And what is even sadder, is that there were probably people who told him to go to the auditions.../images/laugh.gif

and what about the dude who traveled to each city, yet didn't make it at ANY! get a clue boy!
and the girl who rode the bus across the country with mom? she missed seattle and NY but caught up with the try-outs in miami? (i think) she didn't make it either and from i saw, had NO talent...
and the girl who argued the her style was different? simon said, "so you trying to sing the wrong notes..."
gotta love fox...they will put anything on TV...can't wait to see what happens tonite...
