I think he's funny shit. He doesn't give a shit, says what he wants, and just does things to piss people off.

His rhyming ability is amazing. If any of you are interested you should run a search for some rap battles. That is when you get to hear some of these guys at their best, improv and shit. Eminem used to win a shit load of these battles, and when you listen to them you get to hear how fucking awesome he is.

his knowledge of actual rhyming rules really surprised me-he has a great ear.

jake, you're right about the catchy aspect of his "songs."

the way he raps is the way i write sometimes-so obviously i like hearing someone get noted for it. i don't slam people-just rhythm wise.

and yes, ardy-he is funny as all get out and slappin two knees at the same time.

listen to marshall mathers from the marshall mathers LP-that is the song that my friend had me listen to and i cursed him for even asking, but i listened all the same and it's just funny-and i admire his honesty about how he feels even if he is a dick about some issues

he's brutally honest...and I'm not sure he actually believes what he raps..as in that's what he practices...if nothing else, he's just pointing out how things are...all the controversy just brings attention to some very serious matters

i really believe he's a homophobe-i really think that he sees women in an inferior role-most kids don't distinguish between someone holding up an issue and someone living that issue-that is the thing that i DON'T like about his music. right now his stuff is being pushed on mid-teens--i'm okay with it cause i honestly just laugh at his lyrics, at their absurdity at times and at their pure humor others.

I doubt that it's some "act", the way I sometimes hear people say they think it is...he may be pointing these things out, but he ain't doing it on purpose. It's not some alter-ego, that's who he is. And it's aimed at kids, and he's played on rock radio. I've always wondered, why do the rock stations only play white rappers? Only the Beastie Boys, and Eminem. And only Eminem solo stuff, not anything he's done with, say, Dr Dre, which is musically no different from his solo stuff. Hmm...
That's not to say I think that he's horrible musically. There's a few songs I like, but I just can't believe people buy into this guy...but then again that's just me.
