my sob story:
In one area, we have a flat roof (over one room that was an addition)...it is just bad and needs to
be fixed, but we found that out the hard way...ceiling is falling in and buckets catch the water :(
bad enough, but now another room (completely unrelated) has a leak and the ceiling fell in just behind my son last weekend so that has to be repaired....
and because there are 2 MORE LEAKS near the garage...the walls are crumbling and have to
actually be REMOVED and REBUILT.
The plaster is crackling off and the walls are buckling.
So, i am a bit stressed and depressed and PISSED OFF.
and I just want to run away.

OH, P-girl...that is a terrible story!!!!
I can just image how you feel! It is incredibly stressful!!!! Your ceiling actually fell in?? Thank God your son wasn't hurt!!!!! That is my biggest fear....it looks like our ceiling is bubbling out....the walls have "pockets" of water....it totally sucks! Our miserable story is fromn an addition we put on the house 11 yeara ago....the contractor never put the roof on correctly, and every winter we have problems....this year they are worse than ever! My husband actualy has to "shovel the roof" every time it snows in an attempt to keep the ceiling from crashing in!!!
I think we have to start completely over in the spring...if we can make it that long.....have the whole roof stripped off.....$$$$$$$$$....I am not looking forward to that.....but everything we have tried so far has not worked!
Boy, it feels good to vent this.....sorry for rambling!
Just know I can relate to what you are going thru!! Good luck with all your repairs.....if you ever need to vent....I am here!!!

So where is the Sound of Music....you never answered my question.....I know it is a classic, just never took the time to watch it....not a big an of Julie Andrews.....but if you say it is good...I will check it out!!!

I think it's good; very wholesome...fun to sing along.

I agree with you RrVw, it helps to vent about these damn house troubles....
thank goodness it's just a house and not a person...that's how I have to look at it.
Ok, now I must finish the work I've been sitting here looking at...
trying to fill in an expense report for work on this other computer to my right.
At least when I complete it, I can write myself an expense check for $100 or so.
Every little bit helps, right? :)
