I love it when I see that sign after travelling all day. Tonight when I passed it I heard Ed singing in my head "Here I come, I'm coming home...." There is something so good about loving where you live. I've been in B'ham for 10+ years now and I love it more than ever. It's just right for me... not so big that I'm just another face in the crowd, not so small that I can't be anonymous...that beautiful mountain due East and the bay and islands due West... Downtown, Fairhaven, WWU...85 miles from Seattle, 55 from Vancouver BC... what more can you ask for? this place rocks.

There's no place like home
There's no place like home
There's no place like home

I'm glad you like it so much. I can hardly wait when I can live somewhere and truly feel at home there. I feel that way in seattle, but it'll be a while before I can afford to live there. I call lubbock home... even though I don't feel 100% AT home there, I feel more at home there now than I did last year... cuz of the people I've met.

You ARE home

and so am I
well, I definatly agree with you about Bellingham being home....I moved here 12 years ago without knowing a soul and I can honestly say that I have never regreted "ending up" here for even a second....I may occansionally get homesick for "the other Washington" but I do so love it here....I really can't imagine having "ended up" in a better place....this place does indeed rock.

And 7 exits must mean it's bigger than eastland. Eastland only has 2. Oh, god I hate small towns. That's one good thing about lubbock... it's big enough to be anonymous, small enough to not be just another face in the crowd. And if it weren't for the flatness, windyness, and dirt... and being in Texas... it wouldn't be so bad.
