Hello everyone! I'm doing great. I just got back from dinner where I ate lots of Chinese food. Yummy.
This post reminded me of when I was in Amsterdam. There was a guy from Canada who came to the hotel bar every night. The first night he said "I'm Dave eh. I live in Ontario eh. I visit Amsterdam once a year eh". Since I had never heard anyone say "eh" in person, I thought he was just kidding around. But no! He said "eh" after every single sentence for the rest of the week. /images/laugh.gif I would think up things to talk about just to hear it! It was cool as shit. /images/laugh.gif/images/laugh.gif And not just because I was high as a big dog. /images/shocked.gif/images/wink.gif/images/laugh.gif

Im okay...
was in the city yesterday for John...what an
expereince. Amazing people...
Even lit a candle in PJMom's honor...she reached
all the way across the country and was right
there with us all. pretty cool.
Today just disappeared.
And tomorrow is here i guess for two hours now...feeling reflective...perhaps down. But ya know, all in all it's no ones fault.
Hope all is well with you. :)

OH LOOKEY.....MY LITTLE LUG-NUTS SAYIN' HI!
And LOOK!/images/laugh.gif......
BOB AND DOUG MACENZIE HAVE JOINED US HERE ON THE SUN PORCH!!!!
How did you guys know that I covet the antics of these two Royal Canadiennes!!!!!!
Layla....that is so wonderful that you lit a candle for PJMom in the park.
I was there in 1980 for the vigil after he was assasinated.....we were devasted about his death...as was everyone else.
We went deep into the park, everyone filed in silently.....there was a long moment of silence, I believe it was at least 5 minutes long if not longer....
all you could hear were the beaters on the helicopters over head....the constant thumping, I'll never forget how hollow and empty we all felt that day....and I'll never forget the sound of those helicopters.
Alot of people went to the Dakota to pay their respects also during those days....I couldn't step foot anywhere near the Dakota.....I just stayed in the park across the street and sat in the grass to await my friends return.
I've never, to this day, seen or experienced anything like that.....thousands upon thousands of people joined together to celebrate one mans life.......
imagine,..

funny thing...I really haven't seen too much footage of that day. Don't know why,...
I do remember however, a few of us were at a friends apartment hanging out, she had cable which meant she also had MTV,,,,it was the very early days of MTV...you know, Duran Duran..., Talking Heads etc....
and they had a news story on about the vigil....a mutual friend of ours whom we had gone to school with since Middle School had been interviewed. I'll never forget it....she was one of the biggest Beatles fans I had ever known....and there she was with her long pretty brown hair, crying her eyes out on television, crying about this senseless act and asking why?. It hit a chord in all of us......we all just sat there and cried.
