ok well you know about a year ago when i became part of the cyber jamily, i thought 5h was sooo great and that caryn was sooooo cool and totally right on. well, 5h is still pretty bad ass, but i just got a negatory feeling from caryn from reading her bridge reviews. dude is it necessary to bitch so much? yah we all have our little things that we aren't so fond of or whatever, but here i am, totally broken hearted that i didn't go to bridge, and she's bitching about listening to wishlist or last kiss or whatever. if i am witnessing pj live they'd have to play like opps i did it again or something to make me complain. it mean it's live! live! ok maybe i just haven't been to a zillion concerts and that's my problem. anywayz is it just me or does it seem like the songs she dislikes are the songs that have gotten lots of radio play, the ones that non-pj fans know? is that like a reason to dislike a song? ok i feel better now.

ps. am i the only one here that drinks expensive beer? i am i know.

come on now Kate, you KNOW we got good (hence, expensive) beer in Portland. Crap we have tons of breweries around here! I'm sure you get some of our beer over there too, no? We got some of yours over here! /images/smile.gif

isn't deschutes from OR? yah that stuff rules. hmm i bet there are others that i can't remember. big sky brewery is one of my faves and is located right here in missoula. if you buy three growlers you get the fourth one free. fuck yah! also bozeman is home to spanish peaks brewery, but i'm not a big fan of their ales. also in missoula is the kettlehouse, home of the famous bongwater brews. and black star was originally brewed in whitefish and i think there's another good brewery there. belgrade, mt is home of lightening boy brewery and another favorite, big hole brewery. well that's all i can think of. good beer is good. it's nice to drink. what can i say. and also it compliments food really well.

Prety good timing cause I just read her reviews of the BSB shows and I got a similar impression. I think it is where she is so fortunate to see PJ or some sort of PJ every few months whereas we see them every few years, she just gets so critical (for lack of a better word) of what they play, she hears it so much. Yeah I get sick of Corduroy and Evenflow but I won't complain if they do play it. At least not yet.... But I still LOVE 5h. I'm prety much neutral towards caryn and jean.

And I drink expensive beer too. Or at least I used to before I started working for the self-proclaimed "King of Beers" I honestly never looked at the price tag I just grabbed something I had never had before. I had only had about 100 different kinds (I collected the bottles) and that was only a drop in the bucket. Hell, noone around here even knows what a growler is.

growler is just fun to say. but it kind of reminds me of poop. but that's ok. what i really want to know is how do you really clean a growler out well? they always end up getting funkdafied. oh oh yah, and well i guess you know that it's fair enuf for someone to want to say, well, i don't know if this song was the strongest choice in the setlist, but she could tone down the whining. i'm sure some people are like, hells yah! good call! when they read her review so good for them i guess.

rich? RICH!? highway let's just get something straight. when you have recently graduated with a degree in wildlife biology, you are nothing but poor. you make $6.95 and hour and you are stuck with a stupid, right wing, redneck vet. and also you live in montana where living expenses are driven up by the number of people from more affluent states moving in to take over you favorite views and use up your natural resources. what was my point? oh yah, it's all about budgeting and also when you're going to get wasted, it's about a) low tolerance or b) starting with good beer and then drinking shwag beer.

I picked up on the same thing, mtgirl. For me personally, even though I'd prefer not to hear Jeremy, if the option was to see PJ live with Jeremy or not see PJ at all, what do you think I'd choose? It's a no-brainer. And you can bet that I'd be singing and dancing to that Jeremy too!

cause really, we've all heard it eighty trillion times but when you're at a concert, not at home doing the dishes listening to ten and fast forwarding thru the songs you've heard enuf already, jeremy and in my opinion, every other pj song ok except bugs (maybe bugs even), is just a BAD ASS SONG. the 12 string bass, the tragic lyrics, yah all the local teenagers who came to the concert just for something to do know this song and yell like a bunch of dumb asses, but you're at a concert, and the focus is absolutely devoted to the sounds coming from the five dudes on stage and it's a good sound and you may be familiar with the sounds but when you stop and concentrate on the layers and madness, you love it.
