I love these little critters

I went for a holiday with some friends to Byron Bay in Australia about 5 years ago. It was just after New Year, so the middle of the summer and very hot. The water off Wilson's Promentory (the most eastern point of Australia) was great and we were all swimming and suddenly we were surrounded by about 10 dolphins.

Initially, we were a little freaked, but then they started to bump up against us and flick water at us. They just wanted to play. They let us pat them and hold onto their fins and stuff. Then they swam away down the coast, jumping in and out of the water as they went.

One of the best day's of my life.

You can imagine how disgusted and sickened I was when I went into a restaurant here in Tokyo and found dolphin on the menu.

and rogue...sounds like a great day! i love it when we see dolphins playing in the jersey shore waves. when we went to south carolina last november, we went out in this little boat and came upon a school of em. saw a baby...its little fin was sooooo cute /images/smile.gif

According to the Dolphin quest website they were taken just recently (5/1/01). The guy looks to be an instructor, I don't know who the other person is, maybe another patron.

What a life, I too would love the opportunity to someday swim with the dolphins. :)

I've always wanted to swim with dolphins too...those pictures are adorable! Love em...

Earlier this week there was supposed to be something on 20/20 or 48 hrs or some show about how some dolphins alkmost killed some people...I forgot to watch it :( But I still would love to swim with dolphins!
