I have a mountain of work and e-mails to catch up on, but I am going to take a break right now and say hola to mis amigos in Smirksville/images/smile.gif
So, how did my trip(s) go? Well, after a painful Friday I left for AZ and arrived to see my sistah waiting for me at the airport gate. It's funny how someone who drives you so mental sometimes is also your best friend...kinda like boyfriends I guess. Anywho....Saturday was the U2 concert and lemme say that if I wasn't OB-sessed with Pearl Jam that the U2 show was the best show I have ever seen in my life!!!! It was a 2 hour set and the band was ON! Every single song on the setlist kicked ass and I sang along as loud as I could hoping that Bono could hear me, single me out, call me on stage and take me back to Dublin with him!!! But alas he didn't hear my cries/images/frown.gif The show rocked and if you ever have a chance to see U2 I say go for it!!! While in Phoenix we watched the PJ dvd on my sisters big screen. Humina humina humina!!! Ed looks even better when he is projected on a 64 inch big screen t.v./images/tongue.gif I LOVE PEARL JAM!!!!!!!!!!!
Tuesday came and we left for the homeland. I just love, love, love Washington state. I've been there a total of 3 times now and it's so breathtakingly beautiful!!!! The mount was out for most of our trip and we took some really great pictures (at least we're hoping they came out...we have yet to develop them) and we had a view of Rainier from our motel room!! /images/smile.gif P.S. I don't think I would ever stay in SeaTac ever again. Why didn't someone warn us?!?! We went to the EMP (I felt like I was going into battle on Star Trek in that place...you have to go to understand what I mean), the Space Needle, Pike's Place, Downtown Harley Davidson (gots to go to a Harley store!!!), rode the monorail and a bunch of other stuff. We drove all around the city and when we went to West Seattle I kept wondering if we had driven past Ed's house. I know I am insane/images/tongue.gif We found Alki Beach and as far as I know that is where they shot the 'Hunger Strike' video. If I'm wrong don't tell me and burst my bubble/images/smile.gif I sat there thinking that I am seeing the same things that the guys have seen. I wanted to bust out a guitar and start singing!!!!
So much happened but I won't go into OVERdetail. I'll just say that you all who live there are lucky, but how the HELL can you afford to live there? I would dream to live in West Seattle, Queen Anne or Capitol Hill, but it is soooooooo expensive!!!! I missed the board and the friends I have made here. I thought of you guys!!!!/images/smile.gif But now I'm back so let the smut talk begin!!!!!!!/images/smile.gif
By the way....don't think that I missed the 'Survivor' finale!!!! Tina won!!! I knew she would. Poor Colby will have to make due with a mere $100k. Did you watch it Smoothman? What did you think?
