So from what I read yesterday evening, it looks as though the ticket distributor 'Crowd Surge' blew it with the Ten Club pre-sale for members?
What the hell, PJ just can't seem to get a break from the ticketing fiasco's.

I'm really hoping if they tour next year over here, they go with Ticketmaster with unique codes for us.
I don't want us to have to rely on some dinky outfit that bullshit them, and tell them they can handle the traffic.
They need to know, tix go on sale, and we go full on ballistic trying to get them. We take no prisoners, we are stealth and ninja-like.
And we will annihilate any small server farm that comes in our path.

:bandit::rambo::eek:

We may not be wearing combat boots anymore, but we still have the ability to wreak havoc.

"Unfortunately, due to issues beyond our control, we have experienced technical issues with the presale.

In order to best serve members of the Ten Club, we are going to take presales offline for now, and return to members shortly with an alternate way of providing presale ticket access. We will give advance notice with details of when the presale will resume via email and website.

If you have already successfully purchased tickets, your ticket order is complete and you do not have to await further instructions.

Update From CrowdSurge: We will be working throughout the night to diagnose the problem that occurred during today's pre-sale. Check back for updates."

:frown: this makes my heart sad,
who the fuck would sabotage them?
The thought of anyone doing anything negative to them, of all bands, who have tried to do the right thing for years, pisses me off to no end.

My heart actually dropped when I read this portion of their email just now,

"""Given that Tuesday's pre-sale system failure mirrored that of the Ten Club ticketing failure earlier this year -- on entirely different systems, and unrelated to server capacity -- all involved now strongly believe that there has been an act of sabotage from an outside source that has prevented fans from executing their ticket purchases. CrowdSurge and Ten Club will conduct further investigation into this matter."""

I REALLY have a hard time believing it was "sabotage". I do believe that they chose a company that had about as much capacity to handle the traffic as the 10c ticketing system.

I get that they don't want to use Ticketmaster all the time. But there are other options. They should try using Music Today. They do the ticketing for DMB....and we know their fans are as hard core as we are. (Music Today also did fanclub ticketing for NIN, and I never had a problem getting through)

I have a hard time believing sabotage as well.
As an old timer, I have no problem with them using ticketmaster or live nation if that's the path that needs to be taken. It would keep us from sitting at a computer for 3+ hours trying to get tickets.
In a lot of cases, walking away frustrated and pissed without even scoring anything at all.
And nothing got me more agitated than when the 'you've had your face ripped off' message would come up on their own site.

The 10 -15 dollar surcharge would be worth every penny.
And if Music Today can handle it, and have a surcharge, I say go for it.
You're right, DMB fans are just like us, they probably give the ticket distributor a pounding when their tix go on sale.

Let's hope for good stuff in 2012, and I'm really hoping it turns out that Crowd Surge is just not what it was cut out to be, and that the act of 'sabotage' is not in the mix.

this is what i think happens.....

a 10 c member has their one member number, their personal code.

when tickets go on sale, we open several windows.

they go on sale and we frantically hit refresh until we get the tickets.

so, there are possibly 100,000 people (say) refreshing at least 3 windows each.

however, we are only refreshing one member number. constantly refreshing that one member number.

the cart never really has a chance to load because we (and i mean i) am frantically refreshing when i dont see the tickets in my cart. the constant refreshing of my personal number overloads my cart and the 99,999 other of you are overloading your carts as well. this causes the system to become overloaded

the issue is all tied into that one specific member number that each of us has.

so, either the 10 club mails out sedatives prior to a ticket sale or we do the mail thingy. i am all for going back to the mail thing. it cant possibly be any worse for the staff then this mess. and i truly don't want to go thru ticketmaster, it just is wrong on a lot of levels.

hi everyone!
