Well....i have just realised that I will not have a Television to watch all next week, and then I am off to London for some R&R for 10 days, including some birthday ceebrations.

So what wil I doo on those boring nights while I am waiting for my furniture and Appliances to be delivered?

That's right.....it's time to concentrate on the good old Takamine semi acoustic and add some songs to the list....

Any suggestions? Apart from the obvious, that is?

Tell me about Romanza and where I can find it on the web. I did a search and came up with many different songs.

Well....it's a classical spanish piece that Ed.......no seriously...

There is one and only one place to go on the web for Pearl Jam tabs. www.giventowail.com. Everything is there. I think it's in the covers section or one of the miscellaneous folders...check it out.

I can't really help you if you haven't heard it...the best I could suggest is looking for it on Napster if it is still up....i think Ed plays it as an into to Better Man on the Columbus boot, bit www.jambase.org will help you out there.

oh cool. I see it on giventowail.
That middle part is a stretch. I've got small hands.

I don't like to play much besides fingerpicking songs.
Maybe there she goes by the la's?. It's a little on the easy side though.

I gotta go with Stone on this one and say that i really like rocking licky songs where i can really get into a groove. I am a musical spastic and I like songs with an easy pay off. The way PJ cover Timeless Melody is great. It's a great song and it has an easy to remember structure. i find it easy to play and sing too also.

I have really big hands (to go with my taller long limbed body), but no coordination....i always miss the strings....

I like intricate sounding songs.
Maybe I'm taking the girly approach.

but it's equally possible that you are just better at it than me and the intricateness suits your talents and nature better than it does mine.....

maybe you're right.
I'm a violinist.

Have you ever played elderly woman. That's a cool song you can jam out to.
also faith.
DMB's crash is chock full o' power chords that are pretty dramatic.
Also check out Driftin. takes 2 minutes to learn.

tell me if you need the tabs to any of these. I'll point them out.

Never heard theae guys.....Everyone always talks about them, but I guess they don't get to Australia or Japan very much.

If you are a violinist then you would definately be better with the intricate ones....also the shorter length of the strings would make it easier to get more range for your hands..

Elderly woman is one of my favs.....It's great to drag the Tak out when the gang rocks back to my house after being out and just get everyone singing along to it. A buddy of mine plays pretty decent lead so he plays Mike's part for me...

I never ever got mine....I mpoved countries too many toimes....I don't think I have ever heard this one.

It's funny, ed doesn't have such large hands. He's only 5'6" I think. I never had a clue how to play the intro to Alive until I recently down loaded the unplugged show from the ftp server...

Must be tough.....but atleast you have the co-ordination to do hammerons properly.

i can't reach this part. My barring isn't too good:
(I hope this comes out looking ok)

----7-----7-----7---
------8-----8-----8-

-7------------------

I thought that may have been the one that you were referring to.....my 4th finger isn't strong enough to hold the shape properly....that's just a practice thing, but I find it hard to make the 4th finger opperate independently of the third.....and even harder to make the third independent of the 4th....make sence (I have enourmous difficulty changing to the traditional barred shape)....makes playing alot of Stone's song's hard....

Keep at it man....in between moving duties today I snuck into this cool guitar sho near where I will be living. I found and AWESOME Washburn with a spruce top and a mahogany back and a great fretboard inlay......great. I got the guy to drag it down for me to give it a whirl.

I was noodling around for a bit feeling a littlew self conscious about how I was sounding. There were all these guys around me who where just nailing Satriani and Steve Vai licks and her I am plunking away at Disarm.....anyway, I thought i would give Romanza a shot, and I nailed it....I mean the sustain on this guitar was great, but for some reason I just seemed to be able to get it.....then tried again and I screwed it up completely. I guess I was just thinking about it too much.
