Hotel & Gas.........................$250
Tickets to Pearl Jam..............$300
Bag of Tootsie rolls...............$1.79

Spending any amount of time
with special friends...............Priceless!!

note to RRHOF: The Pink Floyd exhibit sucked dogs, pigs and
sheep testicles.

Oh yea, if you ever stay at the Hyatt in Cleveland make sure
to tell the reservation taker that you do not require a tube
of KY in the night table unless you ask for it.

I know Shel, and if that wasn't bad enough, Ed decided to add to my
listening displeasure by doing Last Kiss in Buffalo. At least he had the
decency to turn his back to me while he did it.
I was going to phone that one into you but my phone died.

Well, when the information guide said "Level 4 - Pink Floyd the Wall"
I didn't realize that the exhibit consisted of 2 large Macy day parade
balloon floats sitting on a wall. Disappointing.

I even sent you guys that message, NO FIXER OR LAST KISS....:P :silly:

johnny-joe, you gotta remember to take these things with you when you leave. it doesn't look good, that sitting next to a Gideon's Bible and all.

what kind of Macy's day parade floats, were they characters from The Wall? (one of my least favorite albums by them).
didn't they have a huge history of them or anything like that? I've never had any desire to check out the rrhof, I'm worried it would be very minimalist and generic in terms of information and displays for bands. Kind of like those big 'Rolling Stone Encyclopedia's of Rock and Roll" books, yuck. :dead:
(don't mind me, i'm a music snob and it's a hard habit to shake).

I loved the rrhof when we visited...however, they had the Lennon display at the time and it was remarkable with tons of his art and handwritten lyrics that Yoko generously shared.

Depressingly....in a plastic case on a manakin were the actual clothes and glasses John was wearing when he was assassinated and they were still covered in his blood. There was a special note from Yoko to the side where she apologized for the graphic nature, but said she was compelled to include these items in the exhibit to make a statement against violent crime.

You could hear a pin drop at that exhibit...such an attitude of reverance.

it was the blue floatie thing and something else and chunks of "the wall"

I don't know what characters they were because I too have no love at all for the wall

up to the wall HUGE FAN - the wall - eh - (I think we get put on a list somewhere for that - haha)

RRHOF was amazing though - great surprise - first floor even had a DIODES (small Toronto band) handbill in the punk section which was too cool!

there were a lot of surprises and the whole place held my interest

top floor was all Bruce and they had a huge CSNY section - although (and here I go on the list again) I was never into CSNY AT ALL - just NY - lol

bottom floor was definitely my favourite - and they had a lot of old sound engineering equipment throughout the place (which I did study briefly) - so they even had an old board like the one I learned on (we called it the monster - it was all vinyl and duct tape)

and judging from the clothes there aren't a lot of rock stars out there over 5'6" and size 2 - haha

since, in general, Cleveland is closed for the weekend I gotta wonder what the heck it is doing there!

I'm still in recovery from the concerts - I never got over the headbanging thing - ouch

hee hee:)

It would be nice, though, to visit for more than a couple of hours, right? We will have to remedy that this year!

Yes, it was pops and not rolls.
I think I'm still perturbed at the lack of PF at the Tootsie roll hall of fame.
