Just saw them live last Monday in Vancouver. As per reputation, 'twas a fantastic show and I was extremely happy that they played all my favourites from the new record, We Are the Same. I'm still fonder of World Container at this point as a whole, but WAtS is a great record, too - The Depression Suite itself is worth the cost of the album.

If you get a chance, see 'em live and pick up the record.

Love the Hip and love the new album.

I agree with the World Container...just didn't really feel like a Hip album.

My brother is going to see them...as are all my friends up here in the North (that's where I am right now!) - I wish I could see them again - they were some of the best shows ever!

Saw them again this past Friday in Abbotsford, 1 city over from mine (lovely not to have to go into Vancouver). While the setlist was heavily singles-based, they brought out Fiddler's Green of all freakin' tunes. Gord introduced it by saying that even though it's hard to sing, maybe it could help someone out there. Good for him.

Next time I have the chance to see them, I'm going to shell out the money for a primo seat. It'll be so worth it ... hopefully the finances will allow.

The crowd was fantastic and Gord was really into going into the crowd, letting people strum his guitar and sing. I wonder how many hankies he goes through in a show? I would guess pretty close to 50.

I love how he closes off shows ... THANK YOU MUSIC LOVERS! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! DRIVE SAFE! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
