as hard as you can

yesterday was her birthday - she had a stroke and they found a brain tumour - she's been in surgery all day and I'm worried beyond anything - I can't picture a world without her - her entire family have had a special place in both Neil and I's life for over 25 years and I just can't imagine something bad happening to her

she's a rock for so many people and needs as needs so much strength for what's ahead

it was a success!!

and she was even speaking after the 10 or so hours surgery which is amazing - I was so worried - she'll be in ICU for a while and I'm trying DESPERATELY not to interfere with the friend/family line when it comes to crisis like this - all you can really do is let people know that you're there and you love and you care and that your ear and your shoulder are HUGE

I'm still in shock at how suddenly things can happen to people - how second to second our lives can change

all the what if's come out and you just have to put your faith, whatever it may be, in the human spirit
