I thought *I* was the only one in the Pacific Northwest who calls it soda! I think POP sounds so "hickish"... (sorry smoothie!) and I am RIGHT there with you on the diet soda thing... aspartame is soooo bad. Makes me sick!!! I probably drink like 3 sodas a year- every once in a while in the summer I get a craving for Coke with a slice of lemon.... that is yummy!

I bet Ed calls it soda, and maybe Stone too but I'm betting the rest of the guys call it Pop.


as for the pants thing- the only pants I ever wear are jeans or khakis so that is what I call em... jeans or khakis. Sometimes when we are being silly they are called "pantalones"- complete with accent. /images/wink.gif It is so cute to hear Asher say "pantalones" /images/laugh.gif

No I dont know what the hell soda is . Goddammit its POP! I come from Western Pennsylvania, Pittsburghese speaking city and its POP! I hate when people say soda. One of my friends refuses to acknowledge that soda is such a thing and at a hockey game one when a woman asked what kind of soda she wanted, she flipped out....quite funny :)

I like POP.

Anywhere I've been here in Canada it's called pop. The only time I've ever heard it referred to as soda was when I went on my Pearl Jam trip to the states.

well ,i grew up in the d.c. suburbs and everyone there including me called it soda....then i moved out to the west coast (nuts roll west) and everybody here calls it pop, at first i didn't even know what they were talking about out here...I have since been converted to calling it pop...I do occansionallly slip up tho and call it soda and, people give me the huh??? response
