lets go!!!!!
i saw the ramones once in the 80s. this guy i was seein took me to see em at the philadelphia zoo...slammin with the animals..literally! what a great concert...i was a fan before, but a real fan after.
the thing i brought away from this concert was the energy that this band had...there they were...dark hair flyin around, gray pants, leather jackets...wailin away with such...force...and every single song started with 1,2,3,4...i mean, a song would end then 1,2,3,4 and another one would begin...boom, boom, boom... right into it, no looking back, no waiting for the audience to approve, no time for a breather or a quick drink of whatever, just 1,2,3,4 heres another one
it was great!
im sorry that this great rocker died...cancer sucks in a big way...his influence will live on as will his music. last night i was listening to my fav college radio station out of princeton, nj and they played about an hour of the ramones followed by some incredible punk from bands that i never heard of...that is the true tribute to this band and this guy.
1,2,3,4 joey...on to the next one
