I think its safe to say that (besides the who of course) that PJ blew the fucking roof off the joint.

My mom was even blown away. She loved it. :)

what a great show

man Roger's still got the voice - what a beautiful ending to the night

I remember when I was a kid and we weren't allowed to play squeezebox because my friend's dad would freak out on us

I remember seeing Tommy with my girlfriend's and
Quadrophenia with Neil

I didn't realize I had a whole little life with these guys

:)

(sidenote - crazy Mike man!)

MMM started replaying it as soon as it was over, so PJ should be up again shortly. We didn't get the interviews that vh1 did offstage, though, and because of copyright or douchebaggery or whatnot, the videos on vh1's website are inaccessible to those out of the US.

Really rad to see them with an orchestra ... is this a first for PJ?

i've always wanted to see PJ backed by strings and brass...so awesome!

The whole thing was so, so, friggen' good!
Loved everyone's performance, thought they all did a great job.
The Real Me....wow. Jeffrey was nailing every note.
The Ox would have been proud.

Of course I'm biased, but I truly did think PJ was the best.. ;) (one notch under The Who of course)
I agree, to see them play with the strings in the background was perfect. I can't imagine how they felt, playing that song, the way it's supposed to be played. Must have taken them to another level.
How cool is Mike? His energy level makes me smile. :bigsm:

I still love Pete and Roger.
They still look beautiful to me, they still make chills run all over me.
Still make the adrenaline pump and my heart flutter when they simply walk out on a stage.
The hub enjoyed it because he saw how they still effect me and knows what a big part of my life they've always been. 32 years now since they became almost religious to me.
getting old eh? :oldman:

The final song, for me, was the absolute best of the night.
I found I was still teary with a lump in my throat for a good while after it finished.

I keep watching and re-watching this... I wonder if they'd consider putting out a dvd or cd.

wow...I actually like this PJ version...so far it is the ONLY PJ version of Love Reign O'er Me that I like

I wonder if PJ would consider taking a full orchestra on tour with them? just a thought.....

I was watching this again on Monday night on VH1 classic. After it was over I said:

"My nipples get hard every time I hear this"

Mom was a little more elegant when she said " Magnificant" :)

She was actually excited to hear it again. It truly was a magnificant performace of that song.

I'd pay any amount of money to see Pearl Jam with an orchestra. That would be sweet.
