but have I told you all how much I love pens? I mean really, I think I have a problem...I just love them (and I mean good pens, not bics or papermate shit disposable pens)I think I have about 7 in my purse right now, and seriously, my desk is full of pens that I cannot use for business related purposes....the sparkly gel rollers in: maroon, navy, silver, gold, pink, red, copper, silver super sparkly, purple and green. the milky gel pens: blue, peach, pink, purple, white, yellow. The Dr. Grip: black, blue, and pencil version. The black pilot gel pens, my favorite, the Pilot precise rolling ball in extra fine, black, blue, purple, red and green. The *really* good pens I keep at home, my mont blanc, my micky mouse cross pens...the Zebras and Pilots you can only get in Japan (the product sourcer at my last job would always bring me pens from Japan - RT, do they not have the BEST pens there?)....and last night when I was watching SVT, I noticed, of all things, that Stone is writing with a UniBall pen, the ones with the silvery black outside, ballpoint. Damn, I'm pathetic. What little things do you all collect, seemingly useless to others, but they make you smile? /images/smile.gif

Oh yes, I love a good pen!!! I am so anal about them, I bring my own to work and I am SO possessive of them. If someone asks to borrow my pen for a second, I watch them like a hawk until they give it back to me. If they "forget" (yeah right, i know that "maybe she'll forget I borrowed it" move) I remind them..."ahem? my pen please?" Now I don't go for all the wacky colors, just blue or black for me but get this... sometimes I choose the ink color of the day based on what I am wearing!!! And ONLY fine point or extra fine point for me, thank you. AND pencils... they HAVE to be sharp to the point or I won't use em. I also prefer #3 or #4 pencils as opposed to the standard #2.... they are much harder and tend to stay sharper longer. Sadly my supply has dwindled since I stopped going to school because I used to buy them at the campus bookstore. I keep telling myself I need to make a run to campus but I don't think I want to deal with the parking issue just to pick up a couple 10 cent pencils!!!
Time to go back to school, i guess!

C'mon tho, don't tell me you don't pull that "Maybe they'll forget I borrowed it" move when you come across a good pen. But you have to be careful, gotta size em up and decide if they are a pen freak themself before you pull that stunt. I've learned if they pull it out of their shirt pocket, chances are they're a pen freak and you won't get away with it.

yah good pens rock. i usually steal my dad's good pens cause i'm poor. but it's funny, when i get pissed off at school or something, i find myself in the bookstore buying a nice pen. not out smoking reefer or shooting tequila or stuffing myself with ice cream. all that comes later :) but things i collect include cool rox, flower pictures i take, feathers, beads for making jewelry, and plants :)

i like to change colors in my classes so that i have a days worth of notes in blue, then a day in green (my fave), then a day in black, etc. and i am a steadfast mechanical pencil user, which stems from have to write tiny notes when i'm research out in yellowstone.

Okay so you are so not gonna believe this Jami, but I have a pencil collection. I know it's not pens, but it's the bastard sibling of the pen/images/smile.gif I already told you I think you're weird, but so I am and I revel in my weirdness/images/tongue.gif

As for my collection.......I collect shot glasses. Yeppers that's what I collect. I don't actually use them though. I mean now THAT would be weird! My goal is to attain a shotglass from every state, but I do have some from other countries. The collection serves no purpose except to bring me joy.
