hey kids, how ya doin tonight? i'm at work in the fieldhouse at montana state university and the rodeo is going on tonight. now i don't follow rodeo or anything like that, and right now i'm wondering if this is going to start an animal hugger thread, but i enjoy watching this shtuff. it is amazing how well behaved these horses are. there are so many pain in the ass horses out there and stuff like this shows why they are pains in the ass-cause they aren't being trained right. ok i'm rambling. the point...is this great place to play in dublin. also, the point is that they were annoucing some dude from havre (where jeff was born) and i went into a day dream about what if jeff had been unable to find himself and had become a shit-talking-wrangler-wearing-rocky-mountain-oyster-eating-huge-ass-copenhagen-wad-chewing cowboy? uhhhh wouldn't that be funny. actually it wouldn't. it wouldn't be funny at all

I can't see Jaff as a cowpoke, but that's probably because I see him as a musician.

The other point is, and I am amazed at your psychic ability MTG.....but today is Friday and that means.....

story behind that... i was working in gardiner, mt last summer, very small town, and we went out the night of the rodeo to our favorite bar. the bartender is this gay dude and his shirt had the fuck the cow... saying on it which we all thought was so brave cause the numbers of redneck cowboys was higher than ever with the rodeo in town. good ol' montana. i hope sarah reads this, i love adding to her list of crazy montana stories.

Good for him!!!

I have found that the cowboy type typically does not know what to do with an 'out' gay person. If you are 'in' you are tacitly saying to them and everyone else that you think what you are doing might be wrong.

I knew this guy at Uni who had a whole heap of shirts like this that he wore all over the place. It was great cause he really used to camp it upin front of the meat heads. They didn't know what to do when he flirted with them. i laughed myself stupid.

I dunno if Jeff would've ever gone full-on cowpoke style. I don't think that's ingrained enough in his soul. Personally, I spend time wondering what it woulda been like had Jeff not quit the b-ball team at the Univeristy of Montana before their season officially started. Part of me thinks he could be some bench player in one of those independent NBA feeder leagues (such as the late, lamented Continental Basketball Association).

Listtening to "Deep", one of my all-time fave songs right now. Have lost train of thought...

Read that Montana story of yours. I think I need to find some Toronto stories. My town's gotta have some fucked up shit I can tell you about...

I can't believe I am unable to come up with some rodeo/cowboy-related sexual innuendo regarding Jeff!!

nah....I think he wold have been a musician anyway. he is too much the artist to not be doibg something like that. Music is in your soul and it just wants to get out.

i think that Jeff is also a bit of a perfectionist....I can't imagine him being happy playing in a feeder league somewhere.
