they won't come i can feel it
like a burden on my shoulder
i can beg them to come
scream out loud and curse them
'til they come to knock down my door...
parade about and take my picture
sleeping, posing forever...
tired of the dance and curtain
calling in the time of day
and watching sunsets through closed windows
...plead the fifth, I won't say a word...
changed my mind, finally giving in-
scribbling thoughts and excuses,
or reasons, probably, saying goodbye,
explainging why and happy endings
i can't really see the light today or
the city scape or the got raped
it doesn't really matter
which way i fall today
it didn't really matter
whose life i save today

i was compelled i guess to find some words to sum it up for me today. i wish they were better. i wish they were friendlier. i wish they were better. i wish it were better. i can't believe i'm still alive, i can't believe we have to die.
