I have yet to take a sick day this year...
but this week, and actually for a little while now, my stomach hasn't been too great...
I'm struggling today...luckily we have a movie today
For some reason it's for most of the morning and then it's fine at around oh..1:30 (when I no longer have kids)
I've been meaning to go to the doctor's because while we were home for xmas break, I was pretty much taken over by anxiety and crap like that. I've always had an issue about eating at restaruants, but now it's to the point where I can't even think about going to one.
urgh...I hate this crap

how's your insurance?
I ask because I've been able to go to an acupuncturist
(not a chiropracter that does acupunture or anything like that but a highly trained acupuncturist who specializes in detoxing the system)
and i think they can help with stress which can lead to stomach issues (and so many other chronic health problems)
my insurance covers like 30 treatments a year.
that's not to say I have any idea why your tummy hurts... it's just a thought.
you do have a stressful job that you seem to really take to heart ...
anyway, hope you feel better, DooDoo.
i say you guys need a vacation...like here... in southern fla.

does it happen after you eat then slowly fade away, or is it a constant thing?
I ask because a couple of years ago, I was getting stomach aches alot and my husband finally called me on it... I went to a gastroenterologist and he ran some tests to find that I am lactose intolerent... never was in all my 30+ odd years, just kind happened all of the sudden... but I know the first thing he wanted to rule out was gall bladder disease, which luckily it wasn't... either way a specialist is the way to go at least to get a diagnosis and then you can start feeling better!

It's been a morning thing really...I will eat a small breakfast - granola bar, crackers, banana and get to school. I've tried to cut out the soda as well and it still happens from time to time.
And it happens even if I don't have a beer or two at night, so I don't think that's it either.
I wouldn't say we have the greatest insurance, but I was thinkign that I really need to go anyway. From some stories I've read lately, I should really get a prostate exam (eewww) and a regular check up...it has been awhile.
Maybe I'll go Monday or something.
(I am on day 2 of quittin tobacco too...so we'll see if that was maybe the case too...but I didn't last night and my stomach still is upset)

Good luck with everything my dear.
After reading the thread, it sounds like mostly stress/nerves to me. Especially with the tummy problems starting in the morning. I can feel that way too sometimes, and Im fine by the afternoon because the day's half over. Maybe its the tobacco as well. Your body is probably used to having it, and suddenly its not.
Feel better Jake!

I've never thought of doing acupuncture...
I have no idea if it's covered or not...our insurance stinks!

I'm going to accupuncture right now for my anxiety and stress
I like my needle-er alot, and she's an herbalist
I would say just stop ignoring your body and go to a darn doctor mr highway
this whole fiasco with my mothers health has really taught me that we need to listen to our bodies and seek whatever treatment we can, be it traditional, eastern or otherwise. there is definitely a mind body connection, and anxiety and stress have a HUGE impact on immune and energy levels
take care of yourself please!
