Haha, I remember the photography Nazis screaming "no photos" in the Sistine Chapel. I won't be able to vacation any time soon, and I usually go somewhere every year, so I'll have to relive my Europe trip over and over and over again.

I'm not sure what the go was, everyone's told me you were meant to take photo's.. But when we were in there they were fine with pics it was all about "NO FLASH!! NO FLASH!!"

something about taking so many photos and this and that from the process damages the surface...i can't remember exactly...but, it's the same here for caverns...no flash NO FLASH...

Yeah that too.. It was more the fact that everyone told me I wasn't meant to take photo's but I could, I think they've relaxed a bit just as long as you don't use the damn Flashes.. It being quite possibly one of the most famous painting in the ever, you wouldn't want to damage it with those dam flashes..

It really is beautiful in there. They were also yelling no photos in Florence with David, but people hid behind garbage bins and zoomed in and still took the pics.

The pictures from Santorini look especially good. I saw a show on the Discovery Channel that proposed it as the outer edge of the civilization of Atlantis. Supposedly there was a huge volcanic erruption which destroyed the civilisation and caused the land mass t sink into the ocean. Back then Santorini would have been land locked. I dunno about you, but I'm kind of glad Atlantis DID sink into the ocean if it left behind views like you get in Santorini!!

I guess that's the difference.. You guys have 'Vacations' & they contain nudity which you're happy to post on the net for all to see & we Aussies have 'Holidays' & keep the nudity to ourselves..


Santorini is gorgeous, amazing place, with friendly bar owners who hand out free shots of tequilla like it's water.. It's a pretty spectacular place..
