i feel bad when i don't respond to every post here.
it's nothing personal. i wish i could.
i long for the day when all of us can hang out again...for a longer time.
my husband's mom died tuesday. he's in arizona right now. i miss him.
it's sad because he lost both parents in one year. and it just hit him.
not unexpected, she was very ill.
we didn't really have a relationship with her.
if you still have your parent(s) in your life, give them a hug when you can.
i hugged my mom yesterday when i took her to lunch.
is it me or is the 2k years flying by?
the 19s didn't seem to go by this fast.
it's dec 21 in michigan, and there's no snow.
the winter wear is still in the closet.
someone should tell the birds that i put birdseed out for them.
they must be at a meeting.
vedder's birthday is saturday.
we're having our family christmas party the same day.
maybe i should invite him?
bob seger rules. i didn't go to the concert here. i just already knew that.
he's 61 or 62 years old, by the way.
the guys in panic!at the disco are like 19 or 20 years old.
what do they know?
best lyrics in a song: 'forever young' by bob dylan
read them.
memorize them.
my 'to do' list is endless.
and i haven't even started doing anything on it yet.
do we ever get our 'to do' lists done?
paulette - your new hairstyle is FANfuckingTASTIC. i love it.
when you die, do you have to wear the clothes you're buried in for eternity?
i'm putting "bury me in my pearl jam hoodie" in my will.
i was in hot topic the other day.
christmas shopping.
and the boy there...he was a boy, they all are...saw my PJ hoodie and said...
'hey. nice hoodie.'
and he went in the back and changed the store music to 'once'
he said, "i did that for you." and he smiled.
and i smiled and said 'thanks'
nice boy. ;)
skinny, pale, cute, eyelinered boy.
i'm old enough to be his gramma.
no one has ever acknowledged my PJ hoodie in public before.
i felt special.
we're all so fucking special.
i love you all.
really.
believe it.
when things are at their worst, remember...i love you.
life can be craptastic but ardy loves you.

Aw, I love you too, Ardykins. Its been about 5 years, but I think I still owe you a roll of film. Too bad I didn't have one on me when I ran into you at the Gorge this summer. :) You are awesome. I enjoy reading Ardy randomness.

In the show Dead Like Me (which I love), you are wearing whatever you were wearing when the reaper takes your soul, which is shortly before you die usually. UNLESS, as in one episode, your reaper is late... then you are wearing whatever you are wearing when he/she takes your soul.......... including any gaping wounds you have when you die. :) Of course, if you become a reaper, you are 'undead' and therefore keep going with your life; including changing your clothes on, what we hope is, a regular basis. :)

I'd come to your party... but I can't even afford to drive 3 hours to my mom's; much less fly to Michigan. :(

I love ardy posts

they just cover everything

so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law

I love paulette's new hair too

and I love dead like me - my sister got to sing the phantom of the opera duet with mandy patinkin, and when they were done he bent her over and gave her a big kiss

she said they didn't rehearse that part

I want a PJ hoodie - I don't have any PJ swag - I've got Rockford's swag, Loosegroove swag, buzzcock's swag (bought it right off of Tony Barber - :)but no PJ swag (????)

I feel good knowing that Ardy loves me

Don't leave it to just your parents, hug anyone you love anytime you can.. You never know when will be the last time you see them..

It's too hot for a pearl jam hoodie, but I wouldn't say no if someone was handing them out!!

Ardy rocks the randomness..

I hate the fact that I have to work through the holiday... but I love my new position...

Paulette always looks awesome, but I do love her new haircut, too...

my mom found out that she has cancer this week. liver cancer. which is somehow not too surprising since she has had what seems like every other liver disease that exists (did i mention she is an alcoholic).

i guess it hasnt really hit me yet. or maybe it has. i dont know. it has been almost 10 years since my dad was brought back from death during a massive heart attack. after that, i have pretty much accepted that i could lose him at any moment. my mom started getting sick from other liver issues a few years back. now it just has a more recognizable name. she is scared (understandably, since her mother died of cancer almost 8 years ago).

i am numb i think. first my dad refuses to stop smoking despite having at least 3 heart attacks now. my mom still drinks with all of her issues. i almost feel like if they dont care enough to take care of themselves, why should i? is that terrible?

isnt it somehow ironic that in the course of one week, i get a mother with cancer and a new baby neice?
