DMB Drama and Intrigue

Not sure if anyone else has heard the sheleved Dave Matthews Band album that they did with Steve Lillywhite. Anyhoo, they played at straight through last night on Y100 in Philly. It's a much darker, denser album than Everyday.

The question is what if PJ did an album with Brendan O'Brien and then scraped it to work with Tchad Blake. Would you download it or would you have the feeling of "the boys didn't want me to hear this, so I won't?" Supposedly, I lot of DMB fans are staying away from this because of that, or they are donating money to the DMB charity.

not sure what i would do...i have the whole dave downloaded on my computer and i agree..it is slower/darker than everyday...but he has said that it was a darker time in his life...i haven't seen any statements by dave or his band about the tracks being available...MTV2 news said there were no plans to block the tracks at this time...

if PJ has stuff available to download, i think i would crack and get it regardless of what was said...i would probably donate to some cause if it were available, just like i did for the seattle 2 video(it got sent today/images/smile.gif)

i dont know if all of you have heard it, or read it, but there was a piece where eddie said that there have been times when he has asked the people to turn the recorders off because he wanted to try something that maybe he didnt want everyone in the world hearing...well one of them in particular was a nick cave song titled ship song...i think we all know it....i didnt know this until after i had downloaded the song....i am sure that is the case for most of us....if i knew that it was something they didnt want us hearing i would stay away from it out of respect for the music, but if i didnt know then i would continue enjoying (even if after i had it in my possession i found out that they didnt want the public to hear it). and here is my rant for the day. FUCK THE PEOPLE THAT WOULD STEAL A TAPE LIKE THAT AND PUT IT IN THE HANDS OF SOMEONE THAT WOULD DIGITIZE IT AND PUT IT OUT THERE. THAT IS SO WRONG.
