So tomorrow I'm going back to school as a graduate student. After 3 years out of school and making money and enjoying not having to do any homework or studying, I decided to go back to hitting the books, memorizing and regurgitating for a better career. I'm still kinda wondering what I'm doing in classes with people 3 years younger than me and trading the free time I had for two years of school. Change is hard but hopefully it'll be worth it.

good luck to the both of you...it's tough to get back into it...I still have 2 courses left to take before the end of the year

What I have found, is that I'm a much better student. When I was in college...the atmosphere, my unguided attitude...I really didn't know what I was doing or why I was doing it...

I think it's easier the second time around, but I think that it sucks going back to school after you have already started doing something else and living a life...bringing school back into it sucks

good luck!!

Yes, good luck.

I start the nursing program at Oakland University full time this January.
I'm part time right now (microbiology and a ficton class).

I left the music industry after 9 years. I worked at BMG and when they merged with Sony I took a voluntary seperation package.
It was the best thing I've ever done. I love going to school and thank my lucky stars everyday I'm on campus.

Good luck Reena and Jake, although the end is near for you.

Jetta, it's so awesome to hear that you went back after 9 years and are thrilled with the decision. You're going to be a great nurse! I'm also in healthcare and will be a physiotherapist when I eventually finish.
