What's been going on lately? Since I'm out of school and bored out of my mind and surfing more than Jack Johnson, no one is around...

you damn busy bees:alien:

not much going on around here...
just got back from our cruise;
as for the summer thus far....
my kids have been hanging around, doing nothing, javy's working and
i have my two part-time jobs to get done each week.

This week I have an interview to work as a quasi-assistant (from home!)
to a doctor (typing papers, helping with research, running to the medical library at Univ of Miami, etc)
sounds interesting, I'll let you guys know what happens!!:nervous:

oh! and we're getting ready for our trip to seattle.

i feel bad not being around as much as i used to be.... but it's summah-time...lots of outside stuff, softball tournaments pretty much every weekend...softball practice pretty much 3 nights out of 7...(not me, my daughter plays, i might break a nail!!)

then there's work, never stops, covering for vacations, etc., and outside house stuff and playing with the dogs, the garden, the neighbors...party at this house, bring drinks to that house...5 grad parties since middle of june...and the big family b'day party for my 2 kids, which was yesterday-a lot of good food, convo, fun and happiness. my social calendar is booked (for a change, this is totally unreal how many people want to "get together"...)

by the time i get a few minutes alone to go online, i'm wasted. not literally, just figuratively. bleary, foggy....unable to form a complete thought...just lurking and reading and firing off a quick replay here and there.

i miss kibbitzing with you all here....i wish i/we had more time ;)

but............................................... ..................
i am getting ready for my trip out west...to the gorge...*sigh*
this will be, for me, extremely theraputic...and healing... and welcomed.
it's good to get away from it all, everyone, and remind yourself how important you are to..yourself ;) i don't think it's too much to ask that for 4 days out of 365, "mommy" can leave town and rock out with some kickass friends for a little change of pace....change of scenery...change of routine...change.

ps:
saw pirates of the caribbean 2 - absolutely great, really entertaining, awesome special effects/makeup and sweetly deppolicious....(of course, i would say that..c'mon, i'd pay to watch him read the newspaper for 2 hours..;))

ipod b'day update: i got my daughter the ipod nano 2GB and she's already got about 30 or so songs on it...totally loves it and was way appreciative. so thanks to all who gave advice...

enough from me.
your turn.
:)

completely understandable...

i have to remember that my time off is still people's busy time...

if your daughter needs any songs, let me know ;)

hehehe, its okay. Its just about the only show that cracks me up.

Although I highly suggest Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia on FX, that show is pretty funny. :)

unfortunately it isnt always sunny in philadelphia because I HAVE NO STINKIN TAN, MAN! lol. also, i spent yesterday cleaning up my flooded basement which i didnt know had flooded until a day after the fact and then my husband didnt think it was really all that bad :para: :bored:  :cross:  until i found his golfclubs sitting in a puddle of muddy water. had to throw away 1/2 the stuff in my basement which i should never have put in my basement in the first place................ but i digress.

its my off time, too. im not really bored though because its a busy *off* time - babysitting 5 days a week, helping my friend (taylor's mom - who is back in the hospital with an infection), helping my other friend with the cheerleading business, and trying to fit fun stuff in here and there!

oh, and i got my sleeping bag and new suitcases...cant wait to fill them! got all the reservations in order and have mapped out our senic tour of the oregon/washington coastline.

hey, ardy - friday night babee....you and me. holy crap, i cannot wait :) i know i say this on a regular basis.

so, thats what im up to :)

friday night...i'll be at shaley's.... after some rabid power shopping at target.
or maybe we'll be out on the town looking for some easterners ;)
or maybe we'll be entertaining some easterners who have found their way to the pnw....
or maybe we'll be entertained by some pnw'ers who have a soft spot for easterners....

i freaking cannot wait either.
