Tomorrow, April 5, at 2 minutes 3 seconds after 1:00, it will be

01/02/03/04/05/06

(one of the math teachers shared this with the school today, they're going to have the kids break it down, thought it was kind of neat-o-number-iffic) ;)

I would put day before month, because that makes more sense.

May 4, at 2 minutes 3 seconds after 1:00, it will be

01/02/03/04/05/06

see though, while I respect your way of crazy-calender-day-month-reading,
I need some clarification....
if someone says to you, 'HEY, what today's date?'
do you say...
"It's April 5th."
or.......do you say....
"It's the 5th day of April."

now, if you say, "It's April 5th"...wouldn't that translate to 4/5???
and if that's correct.....
wouldn't that make ..........................
.................................................. ........
.................................................. ...
..............us right?

so many things in life to ponder~:oldman:

We'd say, "it's the 5th" because you shouldn't have to clarify what month it is, really.

yeah, but what happens if you do have to clarify, like if the person's been frozen in the Arctic tundra............or something,.............and doesn't know what month it is....
then what do you say?

:chinese:

Probably not, I think we're the only country left who hasn't completely converted to metric also. It's random, sometimes we'll come across things that are measured exclusively metric, but not always. It's a mish-mash.
